For whatever reason, Anna Kournikova doesn’t get nearly enough credit for that rockin’ body of hers. It’s safe to say she’s the hottest and most underrated female athlete of all time, and that’s saying something. She was once pretty popular for both her play on the tennis court and her modeling off it, although the latter was definitely the primary reason for her fame.

She posed in both “modeling clothes” (or lack thereof) and bikinis, including the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editing, which is obviously a favorite of all warm-blooded male sports fans…and many such men who are not sports fans. But besides all that hotness, Kournikova has that X-factor that makes her one of the sexiest women in the sports world.

Again, she may have been forgotten in a lot of the sports and modeling world, but we’re here to remind everyone of just how hot Kournikova is. We’ve collected all of her hottest pictures from the Web and compiled them into a nice, neat little gallery for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! And you’re welcome.

    • James Scarlott

Face Average to above average true, but a sweet face with really nice eyes.

      • Alan3008

I like your “Beware of Dog” sign. LOL

  • aj71

“most underrated female athlete of all time”. Seriously? More like the most overrated. She never won a major tournament and her best finish was making it to the semis of Wimbledon in ’97. Highest ranking was #8.

    • emncaity

#8 in singles, #2 in doubles. If you’ve been ranked in the top 10, quite obviously you could play. The “underrated” comment actually has some merit based on comments like those up and down this list (look at the typical one from “Maitaiduck” above) indicating that people buy into this nonsense that she was an untalented player. She absolutely was not. The modeling thing probably kept her from accomplishing as much as she could have in tennis, but she was damned good. I’ll ask you the same question as I’d ask Maitai or anybody else: What were you ever #2 or #8 in the world at?

      • aj71

Your question is a straw man, unrelated to the original topic under debate. The point is not whether she was talented nor if I have achieved a world ranking. Clearly she was exceptional at tennis. But few players who have not won a major singles tournament have received such attention, media coverage and accolades. For that reason, her tennis career was quite overrated. Other players have achieved much more yet are relatively unknown and unpraised. To wit, Petra Kvitová is currently ranked #9 in the world and has won a Wimbledon singles title. As a casual fan, I have never seen a single article written about her and she gets little media attention.

        • emncaity

Actually, my question is completely on-point and not even close to a straw-man construction, specifically because of your misdiagnosis or misdefinition of “underrated,” which is based on an erroneous causal attribution of the “attention, media coverage and accolades” she got. It was clear from the beginning that all the attention she got was not based solely or even mainly on her accomplishments in tennis. She was attractive enough to make a living and get a lot of attention as a model, separately from her tennis career, a career that was quite good — far better than average, in fact. But people in general, and for sure people who knew much about tennis, never thought all that attention was attributable to her being the best tennis player in the world, one of the all-time greats, whatever. In short, she wasn’t “overrated” because the general run of opinion was that she was very good in tennis, despite not being an all-time great or a #1 player. That view is accurate, not an “overrating” of her at all. It’s true that a lot of people bitched, and still bitch, about her getting so much attention for her looks, but that has nothing to do with her being “rated” as a tennis player. At all.

If your point was that Kournikova got too much celebrity attention for somebody
who wasn’t #1 at tennis — that is, if “overrating” is meant as “too much fuss over her” — that’s your opinion, and you’re entitled,
of course. But it has nothing to do with her being overrated or underrated as a tennis player. In fact, her rankings speak for themselves. They are what they are.

Also not relevant: How many articles you have seen about Kvitova, a fine player, of course. The number of articles — and particularly the number of articles any single individual (like you) run across — is irrelevant to whether a different player is “overrated” or not. It is relevant to whether the tennis media have covered this player more than that one. (On the other hand, you probably have the kernel of a real discussion on a real point here: Whether sports media put too much emphasis on celebrity value and cover athletes according to that value rather than their value or rating as athletes. _That_ is a point worth making.)

Now, if you think she just got too much media attention in general, that too big a deal was made of her, and _that’s_ what you mean by “overrated” (I don’t think that can be read into the meaning as you originally used it, but some people might think this), I think we’re into the classic logical fallacy of petitio principii, or the true meaning of “begging the question.” The very nature of celebrity attention, attention as a photo model, etc., is that it entails publicity. The companies that employed her for various photoshoots, endorsements, etc., are in a lot better position to evaluate the value of every dollar they spent. In that sense, it’s kind of a self-monitoring thing, in terms of how much attention is too much. So it’s a bit of a logical absurdity to say “she’s getting too much attention, in this attention-getting business of modeling, publicity, and celebrity.” But I don’t think that’s what you were after anyway.

        • CheeseyPal

Kvitová won Wimbledon and you couldn’t find a single article written about her? I don’t think you looked very hard.

  • MAITAIDUCK

ANNA you are seriously HOT, but it wasn’t the Tennis that made you famous because I’m pretty sure one of the Williams sister’s could probably beat you with only 1 ARM. OH well that’s OK because I’m sure the sisters would trade there Tennis Fame for your look’s.

  • Just Me

This chick has a lot of miles on her now; been around the block a few times. I wouldn’t touch her with my dog’s johnson.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001014849544 Mike Alan

DId the writer of the article just wake up after a 20 year coma? From the day she first turned pro, she was called Anna Pornakova.

  • HarleyRider77

She has been a bad girl who really needs a spanking!!!

  • JC Chuta

Often left wondering why She still dates “Sissy Boy” Enrique Inglesias. It’s like Naomi Campbell dating Ru-Paul!

    • CheeseyPal

or Christie Brinkley marrying Billie Joel. Oh wait, that really happened. Good looking women sometimes do strange things.

  • Ben Woltz

    If I had a daughter…

  • brucegarthe

The most “underrated female athlete of our time” can’t play tennis worth a DAMN, so the next natural thing to do is take off her clothes. Can Danica P. be far behind? (No bun intended).

  • ronald1216

    shes dating tiger woods

    • CheeseyPal

I thought Lindsey Vonn was dating Tiger.

  • Linda Pytko

too many mean people, that I am sure are perfect, in this chat.

  • John Adams

I saw Anna play a couple times ten maybe 13 years back. Pictures don’t do her justice because she moved so beautifully. She had the total package. She was also a much better tennis player than folks realize. She had all the shots but she wasn’t as tough mentally as the top tier. She did win at least 2 Grand Slam doubles titles and was ranked #1 in doubles….not too shabby.

  • http://enria.org/ Zee Flynn

    I’d f+ck her.

    Seriously.

  • John Tubb

Yeah, she’s beautiful “physically”. When that’s your main accomplishment in life, it really isn’t saying much.

  • Chris1232

I would so lick her butt…….right in the middle.

  • Marcadimus

The picture against the vines proves there is no god. If there was he would never make a woman who could be that much hotter than any women us mortals can get.

  • San Diego Doug

she is definitely one of the most beautiful women in the world. I have always been infatuated with this woman, her tanned legs, & her rear !!!

too bad I’m too old & too poor & have no chance at getting her. :)

  • Phillip1049

    One word for Anna ….breathtaking.
