Top 25 Pictures From the Weekend That Was in Sports

We're now just two weeks away from Thanksgiving, which means Fall sports are in full swing. Baseball has come and gone now, but college and pro basketball have arrived to fill the void.

We were all no doubt treated to a look at the future of basketball this past week. The college freshmen on display in Chicago as Michigan State, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas squared off, were absolutely remarkable. The 'one-year' rule isn't good for college basketball long term, but without it, most of the star freshmen would already be getting paid to play.

As the weekend approached, football fans had one game on their minds - Kansas City at Denver. In the end, the game was somewhat of a letdown. However, it really went how most people projected it would. The KC offense wasn't able to outscore the Denver offense and on top of that, the KC defensive line didn't sack Peyton Manning one time. All of that added up to a comfortable win for the Broncos.

It's way too early to crown the Broncos, though, as they play the Patriots and Chiefs over the next two weeks. If Denver can come out of those two contests with still only one loss on the year, then it's time to call them the class of the AFC. But you have to consider the possibility that they could drop two road games as well.

So as with any weekend of sports, there are great plays and images that defined the action. In this installment of pictures of the weekend, we'll view college and pro football, NBA, UFC and college basketball. Enjoy:
