Carmelo Anthony and 15 Athletes Who Just Don't Get It

Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks aren't doing so hot this NBA season. They're off to an incredibly slow start, which has some people thinking that Mike Woodson might be on the hot seat. Naturally, because the Knicks play in the Big Apple, people are criticizing the heck out of Anthony and Woodson. When things aren't going well, the star player and head coach are obviously going to get the majority of the heat.

Colin Cowherd is one notable person that has spoken out against Melo. The ESPN radio and TV personality recently called Anthony a selfish ball hog with a 'cave man' basketball mentality. While some of Cowherd's comments were over the top, the overall point I got out of it is that Anthony is clueless.

Melo just doesn't get it. But of course, he's not the only one. The world of professional sports is littered with guys that just don't get it. It could be an ego thing, a selfish thing or maybe they're just plain hard to get along with. There are lots of ways to earn the title of clueless, that's for sure.

It's a shame for most athletes on this list. Many of them are very talented and have all the physical tools to be successful. However, they're holding themselves back with an attitude or some other type of issue between the ears.

When it comes to Melo, maybe he'll one day figure out that basketball is a team game that's about more than scoring. Who knows? But for now, he's one of many clueless athletes. Do any of these guys get it?:
