Top 10 Dirtiest Players in Sports Today
Top 10 Dirty Athletes
With sports becoming a way of life for some people these days, some athletes have taken center stage in some fans' lives -- young and old. Everyone has their favorite athlete on their favorite team. Even when they are struggling, you stick by them. Even when they are traded, you can't help but call them your favorite still -- even when they are now your favorite team's rival.
Although everyone has a favorite athlete, they also have a least favorite athlete or a guy who they just can't stand due to on-field antics. We call these athletes 'dirty' and the things they do on the court are sometimes unforgivable.
Some athletes will forever be marred by what they did in their past on the court in terms of dirty moves. A guy can be a great person off the court or field, but if they have ever done anything wrong and excessively 'dirty', they will likely forever be remembered by that for the remainder of their career.
Let's take Metta World Peace for example. The guy has completely turned his life and basketball career around in the NBA, becoming a leader in the locker room and a veteran for fellow players to look up to. However, he was involved in one of the worst on-court and in-the-stands brawls in NBA history. Then known as Ron Artest, he was hit by a beverage thrown from the stands and made his way up to the Detroit Pistons crowd and started throwing punches with teammates.
What about Ndamukong Suh? He is a nice, well-spoken guy off the field, but when you see him play, you can't help but think he's a ticking time bomb with a dirty way of playing.
Let's take a look at the top 10 dirty athletes in sports today and let me know who I've missed.

10. Reggie Evans
How can anyone forget Evans' terrible groin-grab of Chris Kaman back in 2006. No man does that to another man unless you are just a flat-out bush-league player. In a 2012 poll of NBA players, Evans was named the dirtiest player in the league with 37 percent of all votes.
9. Todd Bertuzzi
Bertuzzi has cleaned up his act a bit in his older age, but he will always be known for the cheapest hit in NFL history in which he left Steve Moore unconscious after breaking his vertebrae and giving him a grade three concussion. Moore would never be the same nor would he play hockey again.
8. Rajon Rondo
Although Rajon Rondo might just be a hot-head, he still plays pretty dirty. Rondo has clotheslined players, thrown players into scorers tables and started a few fights because, well, he's dirty. Don't forget the fact that he isn't a fan of refs -- he has thrown a ball at one and intentionally ran into another.

7. Josh Beckett
Beckett has been known for pitching inside on purpose and starting bench-clearing brawls. If there's one pitcher who you don't want to anger, it's this guy.
6. Brandon Meriweather
Brandon Meriweather is easily the dirtiest hitter in football. His helmet-to-helmet take downs make you wonder if he was ever taught how to tackle properly or if he just wants to give out as many concussions as possible during his career.

5. Kevin Garnett
Kevin Garnett is fiery and pretty dirty. You see pretty often why opponents can't stand playing against him. He takes verbal jabs at opposing players like Charlie Villanueva who has a hair-growing disease that prevents the growth of hair on his body and Garnett called him a 'cancer patient'. Don't forget the fact he starts all the fights and acts like a victim right after.

4. Richie Incognito
Voted as the dirtiest player in the NFL by fellow players in 2009, Richie Incognito is the type of offensive lineman you wouldn't want to line up against if you are a defensive player.
3. Metta World Peace
Four words: Malice at the Palace. In case you don't remember Ron Artest -- or Metta World Peace -- inciting one of the ugliest brawls in NBA history, watch the video below. Artest was known for his antics on the court as a guy who started fights and racked up technicals at an alarming rate.
2. A.J. Pierzynski
A.J. Pierzynski is constantly atop dirty players lists around baseball and his antics on the field can be seen as almost childish. There aren't too many fans of Pierzynski especially after the hit heard around the league when he intentionally ran over a Cubs catcher to score a run. While that's not illegal, he slammed his hand on the plate to score and bumped into him afterwards. A.J. is known for taking cheap shots at players.
1. Ndamukong Suh
Ndamukong Suh is known as the dirtiest player in sports for the hits he puts on players -- after the play. He body slams quarterbacks, stomps on arms and takes out people's knees. This guy is a force to be reckoned with and it needs to be stopped.
