The 15 Highest-Selling Sports Jerseys of 2013

Jerseys

Sports jerseys are always a hot item, especially around Christmas time. Children must have the jersey of their admired sports star, while adults have no problem sporting the latest jersey of their favorite player. Besides seeing how many jerseys are sold every year, one of the more interest things in regards to jersey sales is who takes over the top spot at the end of every year.

What a difference a year makes. Quarterback Robert Griffin III’s No. 10 jersey was the highest selling in the NFL from April 1, 2012, to March 1, 2013. Not only that, but it was also the highest-selling jersey in league history. Fast forward to December 2013 and Griffin doesn’t even crack the top 15 when the four major American sports are combined.

It always gets interesting when combining players from different sports and comparing the sale of their jerseys. Typically, the NFL dominates other sports when it comes to jersey sales. With that being said, there are always specific players in other sports that stand out.

Since this slideshow was made on Christmas Eve, some of the players on the list could change in standings because the countdown doesn’t include Christmas sales. The NFL jersey sale numbers are as of Dec. 11, the NBA jersey sales are as of Dec. 19, the MLB jersey sales are as of Sept. 26 and the NHL jersey sales are as of Nov. 7.

Make sure to click through the slideshow to see the 15 highest-selling sports jerseys of 2013. Also, make sure to comment below on who you wish was on the top 15 list.
