Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

It is sure sad to see 2013 be over after the magical year it was in sports. With that being said, 2014 is sure to bring just as much excitement as previous years. Before we can move on to what lies ahead, it is important to reflect on some of the most amazing moments in sports. There is no better way to do that than to take a look at the 25 greatest sports pictures of 2013.

There were millions of snapshots taken by photographers at sporting events all over the world last year. From there, only the most desired were published and used in articles about the various sport events. Now, it is time to check out 25 specific pictures that easily can be labeled the best of 2013. I did not think it would be appropriate to rank the 25 photographs in the slideshow. Instead, it is just a collection of what I believe to be the best pictures that were taken from the past year in regards to sports.

The reason I prefer to look at a good picture instead of a video of a great sporting event is because I believe it can express the emotions so much more. Make sure to look at everything going on in each picture in order to get the full weight of the emotional moment that took place.

Make sure to click through the slideshow to see the 25 greatest sports pictures of 2013. Also, do not forget to comment below on which photos are your favorite and why. Along with that, please tell us what your favorite sports moment from 2013 was.
