Top 15 Non-Athletic Sports Stars Today

It doesn't seem right that some athletes are actually non-athletic, but there are examples all around the sports world. The truth is, that not all positions in sports require the athletes to be in shape and fit. Sometimes all you need is the strength to hit a ball along way, and you'll have a job for years to come. In this slideshow we'll take a look at the top non-athletic stars in the sports world today.

What sport has the most non-athletic players? The popular answer is definitely baseball. Its a sport known for fat guys and dudes that have no business calling themselves professional athletes. But again, athlete can be a broad term.

The thing that always gets me is the fact that baseball players eat during games. You'll often see shots in the dugout of players eating sunflower seeds, candy bars and other assorted energy bars. They also chew tobacco and bubble gum like its going out of style. It's safe to say, baseball is one of a kind.

After baseball, golf probably gets the most flack for having non-athletes compete. But again, who cares what you look like if you can drive it 400 yards and putt?

In addition to all the talk about non-athletic players in sports, NASCAR drivers get mad because they're not considered athletes at all. It's certainly a good debate, but if you do label them as athletes, you have to put them in a different category. I'm willing to bet that the majority of race car drivers don't also run marathons on the side.

So who are the most non-athletic players in sports today? Let's take a look:

After all these years, Daly is still the unquestioned most non-athletic athlete. You just can't coach this type of 'un-athleticism'. He smokes, he drinks, he clearly eats poorly - but yet he still makes a good living as a pro athlete. Good for him.
