Top 25 Worst Super Bowl Commercials Ever Created
Worst Super Bowl Commercials Ever
Everyone tunes into the Super Bowl to watch a pretty solid NFL game, but non-football fans tune in for a different reason: the commercials. Ever since the Super Bowl became a big deal, commercials have almost taken center stage and it's not often people look forward to commercial break, but that is what Super Bowl ads have done to the casual fan.
However, there are some ads that make us think that the companies who paid for them didn't really care about anything but getting something out there for everyone to see -- even if it's terrible.
Let's face it, we have all seen some pretty terrible Super Bowl commercials in our lifetime. Whether they are creepy, weird or just flat-out annoying, some Super Bowl ads cost millions of dollars and fall up about a mile short of being a solid investment.
Super Bowl ads these days are so special to the average fan that everyone is almost forced to be quiet during commercial breaks. What other sport has that kind of polarizing affect on its fans? That is why the Super Bowl is easily the single-most popular sporting event in America every year.
Super Bowl Sunday is basically its own holiday by now and it won't be too long before businesses are closed the following day because of the lack of productivity of the employees on the Monday following the big game day.
The commercials are a special part of the game, but there are some that leave us scratching our heads and asking ourselves why we had to waste 30 seconds of our life watching such mediocre garbage. Well, this is the list for such commercials.
Let's take a look at the 25 worst Super Bowl commercials of all time. Let me know which ones I missed.

25. E-Trade - Monkey (2000)
Yes, E-Trade, that was a waste of two million dollars.
24. Cash4Gold - Ed McMahon & MC Hammer (2009)
Come on, we know MC Hammer doesn't have any cash. Oh yeah, and Cash4Gold has been known to scam people out of money -- giving one-fifth of the gold's worth.
23. Doritos - Birthday Wish (2011)
This started out pretty funny until it got to the robot best friend and the "fireman's pole". It was all downhill from there.
22. Subway - Whoever You Are (2002)
This commercial isn't terrible, but it makes you think about those annoying people who love to interrupt. Just annoying.
21. Dockers - Little Black Dress (2002)
What's creepier than a bunch of grown men in black dresses? Not much.
20. CareerBuilder - Follow Your Heart (2008)
Wow, I was not expecting that to happen.
19. Atari - Little Boy (1982)
Every wife in America was hoping their husband didn't see this commercial. Oh yeah, and the jungle was pretty embarrassing.
18. McDonalds - Dwight vs. LeBron (2010)
This commercial was relatively funny because LeBron and Dwight Howard didn't know who Larry Bird was, but the special effects took away from commercial a bit -- even if it was intentionally supposed to look fake. Remakes are never as good anyway.
17. Footlocker - Futuresport (1987)
I really hope that sports are nothing like that in the future.
16. Snickers - Do Something Manly (2007)
This got weirder every time I saw it.
15. Bud Light - Pool Chicken (1998)
Not exactly why Bud Light chose a demonic chicken to advertise its product.
14. Sobe - Lizard Lake (2009)
Not many people understood what was going on or why it was happening. Neither did I.
13. GM - Sad Robot (2007)
A robot committing suicide? Yeah, this wasn't executed to perfection.
12. Holiday Inn - Bob Johnson (1997)
Awkward. Just awkward.
11. Macintosh - Lemmings (1985)
I don't know about you, but I think I might have nightmares about this commercial.
10. Lifeminders.com - Boring Commercial (2000)
Advertising your commercial as the worst Super Bowl commercial of the year probably isn't the best strategy.
9. Groupon - Tibet (2011)
Making us feel bad for Tibet and then making light of the situation? Poor move.
8. Bud Light - Clown (2003)
This is everyone's worst nightmare.
7. Outpost.com - Gerbils (1999)
Cruelty to animals and posting an ad that has nothing to do with your business. Check and check.
6. Sales Genie - 100 Free Leads (2008)
This probably angered thousands of people. Stereotyping doesn't keep you in business.
5. Doritos - Mmm Cheese (2011)
This made for handfuls of incredibly awkward Super Bowl viewing parties.
4. Gillette - Talking Razor (1970)
I have never been so afraid to shave before in my life.

Joe, what were you thinking when you agreed to this?

Please, someone tell me what I just watched.
1. Hummer - Monsters (2006)
Oh, so this is how Hummers are made.
