Dwyane Wade and 10 Pro Athletes Who Would be Cool to Have as Your Dad
Dwyane Wade and 10 Athletes You Want as Your Dad
Dwyane Wade is one of those NBA players that just earns respect from everyone around the league -- except maybe Kevin Durant. Even though Wade is closing in on the second half of his career, the superstar has made sure people will remember him for the best reasons possible.
Yeah, he's a pretty great basketball player, but he's also one of the best role models out there. The kid from Oak Lawn, Ill., has been one of the most impressive players in the NBA for the past decade and fans are hoping for yet another decade of greatness from the guard.
He has made clutch shot after clutch shot and he is highly responsible from reeling LeBron James out of Cleveland and Chris Bosh out of Toronto. While the "Big 3" are one of the scariest units in professional sports, they are also one of the best groups off the court.
All three of those guys are great role models and fathers. Wade has built up a reputation for being a class act type of father to his sons. If his sons are lucky, they will grow up to be half the man that Dwyane is -- even though that is one of the most cliche phrases out there, it couldn't be more true.
Looking at these athlete as great role models and fathers is something that not many people do -- all they see is the man on the court and in the field of play.
In honor of Dwyane Wade, I have constructed a list of the 10 athletes that you would likely wish you had as a father. Some are on here for comical reasons while others are on here because they have proven to be great fathers.
Take a look at this list of 10 professional athletes who you would want to be your father. Let me know if and why you agree or disagree.

LeBron has been a great father to his sons. Also, who wouldn't want to call the best player in the NBA their dad?
Floyd Mayweather is so wealthy that if you were his child, you would never have to worry about money again -- ever. Yes, no boring office job for you.
Peyton has one of the greatest football minds of all time, an awesome personality and he's one of the nicest guys in sports. Group that with being the best quarterback of all time and you have a pretty sweet dad.
Dwyane Wade has been known to be a great father to his sons. Wade might be one of the nicest superstars out there and he has no problem letting his kids come to games and cheer him on. Who wouldn't want to live in a mansion as Wade's son in a beautiful city like Miami?
Sherman would teach you the ins and outs of football, make you do your homework so you can get a high-paying job one day and he could teach you the art of trash talking. There is more to Sherman than meets the eye.
Rob Gronkowski would likely let you do whatever you wanted as his child. You want to go out at midnight and not have a curfew? Deal. Just make sure you come home to the mansion at some point in the next week.
You might be asking why I put Lochte on this list. Who else could you trick into letting you do whatever you wanted? Lochte isn't the brightest crayon in the box, so he would definitely be a push over. Oh yeah, and he's an American hero as an Olympic gold medalist.
Look at the joy on his child's face as he is celebrating with his dad after he won the Super Bowl. I would kill to be on the field after my dad won the Super Bowl. However, Drew Brees is not my father.
Caddying for you dad on one of golf's biggest stages has to be pretty cool -- just ask Phil Mickelson's kids. He's also known as a great family man -- what more could you ask for?
Sure, he'd make you pray every half hour and go to mass every Sunday, but he seems like the best role model out there. If he gets mad at you, you know you're doing something seriously wrong.
