LeBron James

The Rant Sports Podcast is roaring and ready to go for Wednesday, February 19th. Today marks just another day closer to a handful of major events like the start of 2014 MLB regular season and the always fun NFL Free Agency period starting in March. However, let’s first dig into a few of the hotter topics around the sports world:

All good things must come to an end, and according to a handful of reports: This NBA season is going to be Tim Duncan‘s last. The “Big Fundamental” has a lot to think about, but if he walks away he will be walking straight to the Hall of Fame.
With seven straight wins you’d think the North Carolina Tar Heels would be flying high. However, many NCAA experts think that North Carolina will not even make it to the dance this year. Now that just sounds crazy.
LeBron James poured in 42 points last night in a victory over the Dallas Mavericks just to remind us all that the Miami Heat are going to win three straight championships — it’s pretty clear, folks.
Baseball time: the Pittsburgh Pirates named Francisco Liriano their opening day starter and boy is this guy feeling the heat. Pittsburgh’s really putting their eggs in a shaky basket, so let’s see if it pays off.
NFL free agency is almost here, and you know someone is going to get desperate and overpay for a supposed “play-maker.” Knowshon Moreno and Jared Allen both looking to cash major deals, but which team is going to pull the trigger? If you have an idea please tell us! Reach out to Rant Sports via Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus or hey just throw a comment down below.
Check back in tomorrow so that we can give you all of the top headlines for what should be a busy sports day!
