Many people are speculating about what type of career Johnny Manziel will have in the NFL. Is he going to be a bust like Tim Tebow or is he going to be the next Russell Wilson? Not many people are even sure where he will land in this year’s draft, but he is sure to be selected in the top-10 — even though some people don’t even believe he’s a first-rounder.

All the football talk aside, the former Texas A&M Aggies quarterback and current wearer of Oregon Ducks Nikes has shown he is extremely athletic in the past by dunking a basketball and catching it on tape. However, he is back at it, but now with dunk contest-caliber throw-downs.

Check out this video he posted to his Instagram of him throwing down alley-oops like an NBA star:

Sure the kid has some maturity issues and many people question his decision-making on and off the field, but his plethora of athleticism cannot be overlooked, by any means.

Any football player who can throw alley-oops to themselves and have others throw alley-oops off walls and rise up and slam them home deserves a serious shot in any professional sport. If you’re an NFL team, you have to be excited that he can show off athleticism like this and you can only hope he will carry that type of extreme athleticism to the football field.

Johnny Football could turn into Johnny Slam Dunk and make weekly videos like this and I’m sure no one would get tired of watching the “small quarterback” dunk it with authority.

Great body control but average hops. I know a lot of guys, including myself back in the day, that could do this but I was no where near Pro Athlete level. And I got up higher than he does. Johnny is a great athlete but this is not an indicator of Pro material. His actions on the field ARE! and he is awesome.
