10 Teams You Should Be Thankful You're Not A Fan Of

Thanksgiving is a great time of year. It's a time to gather with friends and family and think about what you're thankful for. So while you're chowing down on turkey this Thursday and making small talk with relatives you rarely see, consider yourself lucky that you're not fans of these pitiful teams.

The Rockies made it all the way to the World Series in 2007, but they haven't been competitive since then. Their pitching rotation is absolutely awful and now they're looking to trade their two best hitters in Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez. Times have definitely been better for the Colorado faithful.

It's been fun to be a fan of the Rays recently, but they're headed toward the basement of the AL. They traded ace David Price and manager Joe Maddon jumped ship, which has left them in disarray. With a small-market budget and a new front office, it will be several years before this team is competitive again.

Normally, the Titans are just painfully average. This year, they've been painfully bad. With no real answers at quarterback, the team has struggled mightily over the last couple seasons. Since it's hard to rebuild in the NFL, it could be quite a few years before they're competitive again.

It was fun while it lasted. The Lakers had yet another dynasty in the early 2000s, but those days are far in the past. Now Kobe Bryant is over the hill and the team isn't anywhere near competitive. Until Kobe leaves the team, L.A. is going to be stuck in this awkward phase of disarray that fans should be getting sick of soon.

Not many people realize just how desperate the situation in Philadelphia is. They were one of the worst teams in the NL last season and know they want to rebuild, but they have a handful of bad contracts they can't get rid of. They have Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard all on the books for more years, and if they can't move any of them for prospects, they could be stuck in the basement for a while.

Overall, the Sabres are the most pitiful franchise in the NHL. While they have plenty of prospects on their way up, the team they put on the ice every night is a sorry excuse for a hockey team. For fans in Buffalo, a great hockey city, this just isn't cutting it right now.

In the early 2000s, the Pistons were one of the premier teams in the NBA. However, they've been downright terrible lately. Even this season, when they were supposed to be improved, they sit at 3-10. The hard times on the basketball court are far from over in D-town.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a team that has been more horribly mismanaged than the Redskins over the past five years. They were already pitiful, but then they went and made the worst draft decision in a while by trading up to take quarterback Robert Griffin III. It's going to be several years before this team can even begin to rebuild.

The Jaguars have been the laughingstock of the NFL for several years now, and they haven't shown many signs of improvement this season. While they may have their quarterback of the future in Blake Bortles, they aren't going to field a competitive team anytime in the near future.

They sit at 0-13 and are destined to be one of the worst teams in the history of the NBA ... and that might not even be the worst part about being a 76ers fan. They haven't been competitive in years and have been one of the most notorious tanking teams in the league. All fans can hope is that all this tanking pays off somewhere down the road.
