Charles Barkley has done a lot of things during his time in the world of sports. Up until now, he’s never stepped on race track to challenge Dale Earnhardt Jr. to a go-kart race.
That all changed on Friday:
Enjoyed meeting Chuck today. Very nice guy. Not a turrible driver either. pic.twitter.com/Wx0gAOUcx7

The two sports stars raced for a segment that will be used during the upcoming Pocono pre-race, which will of course air on Barkley’s network, TNT. Earnhardt apparently came up with idea after seeing himself included on ‘Gone Fishing’ when his Charlotte Bobcats were eliminated from the playoffs a couple weeks back:
It’ll be interesting to see how their race turns out, but it’s probably safe to assume that the professional driver won handily.
As for Barkley, he’s been under fire lately for taking ‘shots’ at the women of San Antonio. He made some jokes about the city’s women being large, which prompted a fat acceptance group to call for an apology. Sir Charles responded by saying that there’s no way he’ll apologize, simply because he’s just joking around.
Things could get interested for the Round Mound of Rebound in a few days when Inside the NBA heads down to San Antonio for the Western Conference Finals. You can bet that Barkley will receive a lot of boos and hateful comments from fans. However, if you think that any of the boos and comments will deter him — you’re sorely mistaken.
