There are hot and sexy female athletes, and then there are the female athletes who are intimidating. Even though the 15 women on this list will make you look like a pushover, it doesn’t mean they can’t be attractive. Regardless, there’s no chance you would want to mess with any of them.
Venus Williams is a world famous tennis star who has dominated the sport with her sister, Serena Williams, for many years. At 6’1”, the four-time Olympic gold medalist towers over her opponents. On top of that, she has a decent amount of muscle mass that is enough to intimidate anyone who stands near her.
Serena is the more well known of the two Williams sisters. She’s also by far the more intimidating of the two. Her demeanor and the way her muscles flex during a match forces fans to be cautious when she’s in the zone. Not to mention, her insanely aggressive serve strikes fear in anyone that is near the tennis court.
Cat Zingano is the first woman in UFC history to win a fight by technical knockout, and she’s the No. 1 ranked fighter in the UFC women’s bantamweight rankings. Her incredible agility and proficiency in several fighting styles makes her someone you wouldn’t want to face in or out of the ring.
Former boxer and kickboxer Holly Holm has turned her attention to mixed martial arts in recent years. The fact that she can take you down different ways and kick your butt in multiple sports is enough to make you look like a pushover. On top of that, she has a 48-3 record across the three sports in her career.
Retired Mixed Martial Artist Julie Kedzie may be small in size, but she will use her third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do to make you wish you were never born.
Mixed martial artist Sarah Kaufman may only be 5’5” and weigh 135 pounds, but she packs a punch that will make you drop to your knees in fear.
Track and field star Jessica Ennis may not be a fighter like most of the ladies on this list, but one look at her muscular athletic body and you might just be a little intimidated. Not to mention, she is an Olympic gold medalist in the Heptathlon, which is an event that requires her to endure vigorous activities that are compiled in seven events. Yeah, I’d like to see you attempt 100 meter hurdles, a javelin throw or a high jump.
If there is anyone on this list who is guaranteed to make you look like a pushover, it’s Toccara Montgomery. The two-time Vice World Champion wrestler has won numerous events throughout the world and competed in the 2004 Olympics.
Miesha Tate went from taking down competitors on the boys wrestling team in high school to crushing opponents in the ring in MMA. The fact that the 5’7” fighter was able to hold her own against high school boys is reason enough to make you look like a pushover.
Even though Laila Ali doesn’t box anymore, much to the appreciation of her famous father, there’s no denying that she was a force to be reckoned with inside the ring. The 5’10”, 160-pound boxer went 24-0 in her career, including 21 wins by knockout.
Like Ali, Gina Carano was a dominant force in her sport who decided to retire before any permanent physical damage was done to her. It worked out well for Carano as she has turned her skills into becoming a talented actress. Even though she no longer fights in the ring, there are still plenty of reasons to be intimidated by the former MMA fighter and kickboxer.
Ronda Rousey has won eight of her nine fights by armbar, which is a big reason why she’s the current Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, as well as the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. The Olympic medalist may look sexy out of the ring, but she’ll tear you a new one if given the opportunity.
If there’s one person you don’t want to mess with, it’s a four-time winner of the World’s Strongest Woman. Aneta Florczyk has blown away the competition over the years as she dominates when it comes to powerlifting and weightlifting.
Hockey star Hayley Wickenheiser is considered to be one of the toughest athletes alive, regardless of gender. She dominated the sport for years as evidence of her leading the Canada women’s national ice hockey team to the Olympics five times, which includes four gold medals. She was offered to play in numerous men’s hockey leagues, but she turned it down to go back to school. She’s also an accomplished softball player.
Sarah Robles is considered to be the strongest woman alive, at least in the United States. It wouldn’t take much for the three-time national champion in weightlifting and Olympian to smash you into pieces, although there’s a good chance she wouldn’t because she’s said to be a very gentle person. Regardless, her 269-pound frame is enough to make you look like a pushover.
