For as long as there have been male athletes, there have been women who get involved with them. They're not always known by name, but these women love the players themselves, their wallets or sometimes both. These women are the wives and girlfriends, known commonly as WAGs, of sports. Let’s take a look now at the 100 hottest WAGs of all-time, continuing with Nos. 70-61.
Sportsnation host Michelle Beadle joined the WAG scene when she dated then ESPN Hockey Analyst Matthew Barnaby when both were with the company. After breaking up with Barnaby, and a much-publicized departure from ESPN, Beadle joined NBC Sports Network, where she had a brief stay. She since re-joined ESPN this past year.
As part of the most famous volleyball team in the sports history, Misty May-Treanor joined the WAG scene in 2004 when she began dating then MLB player Matt Treanor. The two began dating in March 2004, were engaged in June 2004, and were married in November of 2004. While Matt was a journeyman catcher, Misty was one of the greatest female athletes in recent memory.
A former WWE Diva, Kelly Kelly had previous relationships with WWE wrestlers CM Punk, Andrew Martin, and Justin Gabriel before her current relationship with former NHL defenseman Sheldon Souray. Everyone found out about the current relationship during a prior SummerSlam PPV event. After her match, Kelly Kelly went up to Sheldon, who was sitting in the front row, and gave him a kiss on the live broadcast.
In the twilight of his impressive NHL career, Mike Modano hooked up with 90s pop star Willa Ford, who entered the public eye in the late 90s due in large part to her relationship with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. Ford and Modano dated for a couple years before Ford and Modano were engaged in November, 2006. The two married in August, 2007, but announced their divorce in 2012. Modano is now married to professional golfer Allison Micheletti.
The most famous U.S. softball player in history, Jennie Finch went from one of the fastest pitchers in the game to an MLB WAG when she married then-MLB player Casey Daigle in 2005. Daigle proposed to Finch on the softball field at the University of Arizona, which is Finch's alma mater. Finch and Daigle have two sons named Ace and Shane.
A prominent soccer player in the U.S., Heather Mitts began dating former NFL QB A.J. Feeley in the mid-2000s. After several years of on-again, off-again relationships, Feeley and Mitts tied the knot in 2010. In her soccer career, Mitts has won a National Championship for the University of Florida, two Olympic Gold Medals with the U.S. National teams, and in 2004, was named the "Hottest Female Athlete," by ESPN.com.
An American actress, singer, dancer, and TV host, Porscha Coleman has appeared on shows like My Wife and Kids, The Parkers, and 7th Heaven before joining the WAG scene in 2011. Coleman married then-NBA point guard Jason Kidd after Kidd went through a much-publicized divorce from his former wife Joumana Kidd.
One of Derek Jeter's many former WAGs to appear on this list, television personality Vanessa Minnillo began dating the Yankees star back in 2003 before breaking up in 2006. Some of Minnillo's exploits include being named Miss Teen USA in 1998, appearing in shows like How I Met Your Mother and 30 Rock, and starring in the 2008 film Disaster Movie. Jeter has since moved on while Minnillo married singer Nick Lachey in 2011.
One of the best women's tennis players in the game today, Ana Ivanovic is not just one of the best players on the planet, but was also a famous WAG when she began dating golf star Adam Scott in 2010. After a brief split, the couple then reunited in 2011 before calling it off permanently in 2012. Before dating Scott, Ivanovic had dated soccer player Fernando Verdasco in 2008 before splitting up in 2009.
A Dutch television personality and model, Sylvie Meis began dating soccer player Rafael van der Vaart in 2003. In June 2005, the pair were married and had their first son in 2006. Meis was named the Netherlands' Sexiest Female in 2003, and both her and van der Vaart were regarded as the "new Beckhams."
