As we inch closer and closer to the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, many have wondered how ready India will be. As the different squads get set for the big event, Olympic bronze medalist Vijender Singh is determined to build off previous success and lead India to a solid performance in Scotland this summer.

“I think God has it written down for me, that without training and working hard you will never achieve desired results,” Singh once said. “All three times I have had to toil my way into the Olympics. Talking about pressure, well that is something you have to learn to deal with in sports.”

The Adhoc Committee of Boxing selected eight males and three females for the Indian boxing contingent that will compete at the Commonwealth Games. Obviously, each have been selected to fight at a certain weight group.
