20 Athletes Who Would Be Annoying to Hang Out With
Craig Mitchelldyer-USA TODAY Sports
Fans who grow up idolizing certain players also fantasize about spending time with them. Not all players would make ideal friends, though. Here is a look at 20 athletes who would be annoying to hang out with.
20. Mario Chalmers

The man they call "'Rio" in Miami is like the little brother. They are always yelling at him about something. Who knows what Chalmers does, but he finds ways to get on his teammates' nerves. Think about the guy who hides in the background quietly and then interjects something that just makes everybody mad. That's him. Nobody wants to listen to you, Mario.
19. Russell Wilson

This could be one of the nicest guys in sports, and he just won a Super Bowl title. He'd probably be great to hang out with until he starts talking. He gets into every question somebody asks him, which is great, but he speaks quickly and for long periods of time. This is the friend you ask how their day was and they tell you every single detail. Think short, sweet and to the point next time, Russell.

Anybody who yawns during a team huddle cannot be somebody you'd want to hang out with. Compare it to this. You get to a party and you're hanging out, but your designated driver (metaphor for point guard) is tired and wants to leave way too early. That is Felton. That is why he was traded in the NBA and his friends probably traded him in real life too.
17. JaVale McGee

McGee has some of the best bloopers in not only the NBA but all of sports. He makes a lot of silly mistakes, and while that is funny it probably gets a little old. Think about the guy who just keeps messing up over and over again, either making bad jokes or just finding ways to look stupid all of the time. All you can do is look away and pretend you don't know that guy.
16. Eli Manning

Eli Manning is very interesting. He is both the brightest of players at times and turns the ball over a lot. He is the friend who throws the ball over the fence into the neighbors' yard or loses your new toy just after you buy it. On top of that, he is probably always talking about how great his family is. I bet he's a nice guy, but Eli could find multiple ways to get on your nerves.
15. Bryce Harper

This is the cool kid who knows he is cool. Harper is very good and has been better than people his whole life, and because of that it is hard to be humble. He walks around in his fancy clothes and sports that charm that helps hide the "I'm so cool" attitude. Harper would probably ditch you to hang out with the "cool kids". Look out, because he might cancel on your plans last minute.
14. DeSean Jackson

Jackson grew up a workaholic. He was always training with his father. He is the friend who always wants to do the same thing. He just wants to keep working, or doing the same thing, and you just want to get out and see the world. So then when he beats you at what he wants to do, you know he will brag about it. Jackson is one of those guys who won't let you win.

World Peace is an extremely interesting guy. He is the type of person where you have no idea what is going on in his mind. You could be playing a game and having a good time with him. Then somebody could throw a beer at him and it doesn't matter who did it he will find someone to hurt (like the brawl at the Palace). He also will not hesitate to avoid your question and talk about his therapist.

Haynesworth was an incredible defensive lineman until he could not pass a conditioning test to get on the field. He would be annoying to hang out with because he would never motivate you. "Oh, you need to lift some weights? It's okay, we can just hang out and watch TV." Haynesworth will not be able to motivate you when you need him to if he can't motivate himself. That's what friends are for -- not.
11. Adam "Pacman" Jones

Pacman is the guy your mom does not want you hanging around with. He makes mistake after mistake and would be a bad influence with his around eight arrests. Jones will find trouble for you, and you will probably think that getting in trouble with him is getting old. Well, he doesn't, so I would stay away.
10. Alex Rodriguez

Rodriguez is the king of high school drama. He will lie because he is Mr. Popular. When you call him out on it, he will then sue you and anybody else he can just to save his reputation. When it doesn't work out in his favor, he will just drop everything and forget about it. How could you trust this guy as a friend? The lies would get annoying really fast with A-Rod, setting an A-Bomb off in your head.

Here's another liar. Think about hanging out with this guy. He will beat you at everything because he is better than you, but all of the steroids will bring him rage and a feminine side. Do you want to deal with Barry Bonds and his feelings? That's a big man and a lot of feelings.
8. Marshall Henderson

This guy is crazy. He is very passionate, and when something goes his way he'll do that weird thing with his thumb on his forehead and never let it go. Then he will go and ask you to do some weird drugs. Another man in the "I don't care" boat, Henderson is not afraid to do what he wants. Oh, and he is selfish and takes a lot of random shots, somehow finding a way to make that his role on a team. That would be annoying to hang out with.
7. Richard Sherman

He is smarter than you, better than you and way more opinionated than you, so he will let you know how he feels about certain things. Richard Sherman is real, there is no denying that. He will speak his mind and do a good job with it, making him that guy who it is next to impossible to win an argument against. Good luck getting a good word in with this guy.
6. Dwight Howard

This guy is a whiner and is always looking out for himself. That is what got him to Houston from Orlando and Los Angeles. He is also kind of fake, like when Stan Van Gundy told reporters Dwight wanted him out of Orlando but Dwight then walked over and made a scene like everything is all good. He will talk behind your back and then make it all look like fun and games. Dwight isn't just Superman -- he is Super-annoying-man.
5. Manny Ramirez

Think about having a friend who every time he does something says, "Oh, that's just me being me." That would be like hanging out with Manny Ramirez. Manny being Manny can be fun at times when you're robbing home runs and high-fiving fans while doing it. He also could be hiding from you in the green monster, refusing to come back. Ramirez is that unpredictable friend who finds new ways to get on your nerves.
4. Lance Stephenson

Stephenson leaped up the charts of these rankings fairly quickly after the Eastern Conference Finals, bringing him up to a top spot. He will try and trash talk you, try and eavesdrop on your conversations, flop all over the place to make you look bad, touch your face and (in case you forgot) blow in your ear. He will keep finding weird ways to annoy you, and you will laugh as he fails. Let's see if the antics continue in Charlotte next season.
3. Bill Laimbeer

This dude is the bully. He's the guy opposing teams hated to see the most. The thing about Laimbeer is that he wasn't afraid to knock you down, fight you and give you a hard time no matter the circumstance. When you are trying to complete something, Laimbeer will stop you like you were driving in his paint. It's not gonna happen, and since the way he does it is not conventional it will be sure to get on your nerves.

Terrell Owens is an emotional roller coaster. You will see him doing crunches at his house during the offseason complaining about things not going his way. Then you will see him crying and defending his his quarterback, saying that all of you guys making fun of him are mean. Is he tough? Is he soft? Or is he just trying to look like the good guy? Who knows with T.O.

This guy might be slightly less annoying to you if you are interested in hanging out with Kim Jong-un. One of the most interesting figures American sports have ever seen, Rodman will make your day interesting. He will get drunk and say whatever he wants, he might kick you in the privates if you get in his way and if he doesn't love you he will marry himself. An interesting guy to say the least, maybe staying 10 feet away from him is a good idea.
