Some athletes are extremely serious while some are total jokesters. These 15 players have kept us entertained with their comedy antics over the years.
Anyone who changes their real name to Metta World Peace has to at least be a little entertaining. He has entertained people at every stop in the NBA and has been featured in several TV comedy bits.
Portis is out of the league now, but he was very entertaining during his playing days. Sometimes he would dress up as random people during press conferences, which kept the media entertained on a daily basis.
The Bears' newest addition to the defensive line should provide results on the field and comedy off the field. He's a very light-hearted guy, and even though he's intense on the field, he can be really entertaining off of it.
Wilson used to be a dominant closer, but even now he's still one of the biggest characters in baseball. His scruffy beard is his defining characteristic and has helped put him on the sports map.
There's a reason there are so many Yogi Berra isms. He's a very cooky guy and a Hall-of-Fame catcher, but also has kept us entertained for the decades that have passed since his playing days.
Tyson was intense in the ring as a boxer, but since he's retired he's softened up quite a bit. His cameo in The Hangover is one of the funniest athlete appearances in a movie in recent memory.
TO was a very polarizing figure during his NFL career, but he was also pretty hilarious. If you were a rival fan, you probably hated him, but his antics kept everyone entertained if nothing else.
Showtime was the definition of a show boat in his playing days, but he didn't personally attack anyone, he was just having fun. He's carried that over into broadcasting where he's just as entertaining as always.
One of the best point guards to ever play the game, Magic Johnson was a fierce competitor. That didn't keep him from laughing all the time though. During his playing days and in the current day he still makes others laugh.
Rodman was extremely eccentric in his playing days, dressing strangely and dying his hair different colors. As of late, he's seemingly gone off the deep end by hanging out with people such as Kim-Jong Un of North Korea.
Manning is one of the best quarterbacks of all time and has a great sense of humor as well. His countless appearances in commercials and SNL skits have helped him show off his funny side to the world.
Even though he's not in the NFL anymore, Ochocinco is one memorable guy. His touchdown celebrations every week were the highlight of NFL Sunday and he's just a fun-loving guy that entertained millions during his time with the NFL.
The White Mamba has a great sense of humor because he takes everything in stride. Even though he's a pretty good basketball player, fans would often mockingly cheer for him. He embraced this rather than getting bitter and that makes fans love him even more.
Shaq is a larger than life human being and a larger than life personality. During his playing days, his antics always entertained fans around the league, and now that he's moved into broadcasting, he's actually seemed to have gotten funnier.
Sir Charles was a character in his playing days, but nothing like he is now. As the star of TNT's NBA pre-game coverage, Barkley steals the show on a nightly basis and sometimes literally seems like he's delivering a stand-up comedy routine.
