It turns out sports jerseys from the past were usually pretty darn cool. Sure, some of them were really weird, but most of them were jerseys we'd love to see our teams wearing nowadays. These 25 jerseys are the best in the history of sports.
The Expos, like many other teams, looked extremely sharp in their baby blue uniforms. Mixed with their very nice logo, these jerseys are pretty awesome.
Just like the Expos, the Cardinals looked really cool in their baby blue jerseys. Of course, they were also good during the era they were wearing these uniforms, so that doesn't hurt.
The Canucks have several strange throwback jerseys and most of them are extremely ugly. However, this jersey from the early and mid-1990s was one they should have kept around.
Here's yet another great baby blue jersey, and the Brooklyn Dodgers pulled it off better than anyone. The baby blue and white uniforms just look sharp.
This is a jersey that was rather simple, but the fact that the two great Broncos teams of the 1990s wore these jerseys make them go down in history more. The "D" with the horse kicking out is one of the more classic retro logos in sports as well.
When the Rams were the greatest show on turf, these were the jerseys they were wearing. The brighter blue and yellow look a lot sharper than their current navy blue and gold jerseys.
Before their modern dynasty began, the Patriots wore these really cool jerseys. The picture of the patriot hiking the ball pictured on the helmet is one of the most detailed logos of the past.
It definitely helps that this logo was central to the classic movie "The Mighty Ducks". With purple and green mixed together, how can you go wrong?
Members of the Bruins skating around with these jerseys on look like a bunch of bumblebees. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, because these mostly yellow uniforms are really cool looking.
Before the Stars moved to Dallas, their logo and jerseys were awesome. Even though they strongly resemble the current logo, the giant "N" with a star below it looks really sharp on a hockey uniform.
These jerseys look like they're straight from an actual kingdom. The purple and yellow with the crown on the front look amazing and almost as if they could be a royal seal of sorts.
The jersey that Charles Barkley wore during his career was really cool looking. He was lucky enough to wear these awesome purple jerseys with the interesting basketball logo on the front.
Even though these specific jerseys lasted just a few years, the Penguins dominated in them. They were so cool for such a short time that the team will still occasionally wear them for throwback nights.
The Oilers clearly had the benefit of amazing jerseys back in the day. Even though the Titans have pretty cool jerseys of their own nowadays, nothing compares to the sharp look of the old Oilers jerseys.
The great Miami football teams of the late 1980s and early 1990s sported these uniforms while stomping all over their opponents. They were some of the cockiest sports teams of all time, and their sick looking jerseys probably didn't help with that.
The ball in mitt "M B" logo from the Brewers in the 1980s is one of the most clever and cool looking logos ever. On top of that, the Brewers were actually pretty good when they wore these jerseys back in the day.
When the Hawks were one of the best teams in the NBA with Dominique Wilkins, they sported these awesome jerseys. It's something about the red and yellow and the simplicity of them that made them so cool.
The Astros should've stuck with these jerseys because they're straight up nasty. They look really sharp, yet retro enough that they immediately catch your eye.
The Athletics' all yellow tops are quite the sight to behold. They were one of baseball's premier teams while they were wearing these, and whenever they break them back out it's a joyous occasion.
Few jerseys in sports pay as much attention to detail as the 1990s Utah Jazz. Stockton and Malone got to wear these awesome uniforms with deep purple and pictures of the mountains on them.
Slightly tweaking their modern jerseys, the Eagles' jerseys from the 1970s were out of this world. The slightly lighter green just screams out old school.
Perhaps no team in sports has worn the baby blue jersey as well as the Blue Jays of the 1980s. With their dark blue and red mixed in, these jerseys and hats were some of the best of all time.
The Raptors used to have some superstars on their team, and when they did they had some of the coolest jerseys in sports. Wearing dark purple jerseys with a dinosaur on the front was quite the fashion statement.
These crack the list simply based on the fact they used every color in the rainbow. Surely the Nuggets loved playing in these amazing jerseys back in the day.
There were perhaps never better jerseys than the Buccaneers' creamsicle outfits. While they were horrendous in the 1970s, their jerseys were still the best of all time.
