Obviously, New York is a hub for athletes, celebrities and people in general. Many athletes who play in New York also live in the city and even some other athletes from other northeastern cities make their home there. Here are 15 star athletes who call New York home.

The developing player for the city's hockey team in the Rangers also makes his home in the city. In the coming years, he may become more of a star than he currently is.

After being acquired mid-season, why not at least set up shop in town for the remainder of the year? While Drew may not be a Yankee next year, he can say he lived and played in the city during his career.

Just like Drew, being acquired by the Yankees midseason doesn't give you a whole lot of options. I'm sure plenty of people would be happy to move to New York for their job.

Just like he did in Boston, Pierce moved his family into the heart of where he lives. He makes his home in the borough of Brooklyn where he plays his home games with the Nets.

Probably the city's favorite hockey player also makes his home in the city. He also has a home in Sweden for the offseason, but during NHL season, he's never far from Madison Square Garden.

Like Pierce, Williams enjoys living near where he works. Many have been waiting for him to take the next step in his career for a while now, but even if he doesn't, he gets to stay in a beautiful place in New York.

Hopefully this NASCAR driver isn't racing around the one-way streets of New York too often. It must throw him off that he doesn't really need a car to get around most of the time.

To acclimate the star pitcher at first, it was smart to keep him close to where he trains and works. He may move to the suburbs in good time, but the initial move must be exciting to the Japanese pitching phenom.

Rory McIlroy may have dumped her, but Wozniacki is still in pretty good shape. She's one of the best up-and-coming tennis players in the world, and she gets to call New York her home.

Hopefully A-Rod goes around the city in a disguise most of the time, because he's not exactly the most popular guy in town right now. However, if he returns to the Yankees and makes them a playoff contender again, maybe the city will change their opinion of him.

Tiger is obviously always traveling around for tournaments around the world, but he still calls New York home when he's not traveling. Perhaps if he gets his career back on track he can afford an even bigger place downtown.

As one of the most beloved athletes in the city, it's pretty cool that Wright lives among his fans. While he makes a living in Queens, he lives in a slightly nicer part of town.

Even though he debated moving to Chicago to join the Bulls in the offseason, Anthony took a max deal to stay with the Knicks. That means his home remains in New York where his family clearly has a strong connection to the city.

Even though he works in Boston during the year, Brady and his wife make their home in New York. Don't let any Jets fans know where he lives or he might get some property damage.

The city's most beloved player over the last 20 years, Jeter living among his fans just seems right. He is a living legend, and it's a good bet that he will continue to live in the city that he has come to define over his 20-year, Hall of Fame career.
