Unfortunately, a solid number of athletes aren't very intelligent when it comes to partying. Instead of spending some of their fortunes on having people get them around safely, they get behind the wheel while they're intoxicated. These 15 athletes got caught drinking and driving and had their reputations stained a bit.

The former top 10 pick has never quite lived up to his potential and perhaps some of that has to do with bad decision-making. If he could dedicate himself to his craft, maybe he can get his career back on track.

Britt has dealt with his fair share of personal issues including his DUI. That has kept him off the field along with injuries. Now on the Rams, Britt has a chance to right his promising career.

Skittles aren't the only thing that Lynch consumes too much of apparently. As a veteran in the league, he has to have better decision-making than he displayed when he picked up a DUI.

Turner had a very successful NFL career as a power running back, but he at one point got a DUI as well. Hopefully in retirement, he can make better decisions than he did during his playing days.

Fisk is a Hall-of-Famer who is respected by many, but even he has made his fair share of mistakes. That includes a DUI, and not many people are even aware of this arrest.

Jenks is immortal in Chicago since he was the closer for the White Sox when they broke the nearly century-long World Series curse. However, he shouldn't take advantage of all the free drinks he can get in the city. His DUI shows that he might not make the greatest decisions.

The Lions' defensive lineman, like so many other Lions' players, is clearly still immature. He has plenty of time to grow up, but for now, his DUI arrest helps show his lack of decision-making up to this point in his career.

Not only does Pineda use too much pine tar on his neck when pitching, which got him ejected from a game earlier this year, he also drinks and drives. One of his veteran teammates needs to take him under his wing and make sure mistakes like this don't happen again.

Young has had issues ever since reaching the NFL as he's proven to have no decision-making skills at all. Despite his high skill level, not many teams in the league are willing to take on all the baggage that Young brings with him.

The Brewers made Gallardo a rich man going into next season by exercising their team option on him for 2015. However, the ace needs to stay out of trouble off the field in order to reach his full potential. His DUI was a setback, but is something he can learn from.

Moreno changed homes this year, and moving to Miami may not be the best decision for someone who has a DUI on their record. His partying habits have to change if he wants to become an elite running back.

4. Justin Blackmon

Blackmon may be the biggest waste of talent in the NFL today. He has the potential to be a top-10 receiver in the league, but he's gotten DUIs and marijuana possession arrests. He's clearly lost right now and if he doesn't find his way soon, he may never realize his true potential.

Kidd is the new coach of the Milwaukee Bucks after leaving the Brooklyn Nets, but during his playing career, he screwed up off the court. He wasn't known for always making bad mistakes, but he did get a DUI which he surely regrets.

If Blackmon is the biggest waste of offensive talent in the league, Smith is the biggest waste of defensive talent. Along with his DUI, he's run into several off-the-field problems, including making a fake bomb threat in an airport. He's coming off the rails and will have to recover soon if he hopes to still have a great career.

The Olympic swimmer was out of the hot water created by a picture featuring him smoking marijuana several years ago, but now he's back in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. He was arrested on DUI charges and continues to set a bad example for young swimmers everywhere.
