While the start of the inaugural ISL season has been going great thus far, the scheduling of the tournament did receive some criticism from Atletico de Kolkata manager Antonio Habas following the 1-1 tie with Delhi. He said scheduling 3 matches in 8 days was too much and a bit too taxing on his players.

Atletico de Kolkata played the tournament opener against Mumbai FC one week ago, travelled to Guwahati to face North East United FC Thursday and returned back to Kolkata for the matchup against Delhi.

"Most of my players were tired," said Habas. "We have been playing at different venues. For us, it's round three, but for Delhi only round two."

While many fans are not sure how to react to the statements made by Habas, the fact of the matter is that his honesty will only help the league perfect a format for future seasons. The league loses if its schedule makes the players perform poorly. While Habas may just have been upset that his team didn't come out on top, the points he made are valid. It'll be interesting to see how future ISL tournaments are formatted compared to Year 1.
