Some fanbases have it made. Their teams are consistently competitive and it's pretty easy to be a fan. There are other teams that have struggled either currently or historically, and their fans were always there to support them nonetheless. These are the 15 most loyal fanbases in sports.

Even though they didn't have a whole lot of avid supporters until recently, there were several outspoken hardcore fans. They're now reaping the benefits of waiting for a contender as this Clippers team has a serious chance to compete for championships.

In general, the city of Cleveland supports their sports teams a lot for none of them ever being very good. This city stuck with their team and held out hope that LeBron would return home eventually, even though it seemed unlikely. However, he did come home and now they may finally get their first title in over 50 years in the next couple seasons.

The Eagles are Philly's one team that fans actually seem to support regardless of how they're doing. Sure, they're going to boo when the team plays poorly, but win or lose, fans are going to pack Lincoln Financial Field to see their Eagles play on Sundays.

12. Boston Bruins

Boston is known for being a great sports town because they have great fans and great teams. That includes the Bruins, who the city supports no matter what. Historically and more recently, they have rewarded their fans with plenty of postseason success.

To be able to watch the Jets and still root for them after all this time takes a lot. However, they still have one of the biggest fanbases in the game. That's pretty impressive given their recent track record.

In the early 2000s, this team had lost most of its fans because they didn't televise games. However, once they started televising games (the year before Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews arrived) ticket sales and team interest shot up once again. Now, the team has sold out every single home game for almost eight seasons.

The Cardinals simply have a winning culture. They always have success on the field and that attitude rubs off on their own fans. While that can make them spoiled at times, it makes them that much more passionate because they know they're going to have something to root for in October almost every season.

A once-proud franchise fell upon hard times for the last decade or so, but they still had one of the nicest parks in all of baseball and filled it with great fans. Those fans are now being rewarded with a very good baseball team that should compete for the World Series over the next several seasons.

7. Green Bay Packers

Historically, the Packers have been a very successful franchise. Since they're located in a relatively small town, the fans get even more passionate about their team. With Aaron Rodgers under center, it makes it even easier to root for them.

The Chiefs recently re-broke the world record for fan noise in a sports game, proving they're some of the best fans in football. They've been relatively successful lately, but even when they've struggled, the team manages to fill up Arrowhead Stadium day in and day out.

5. Seattle Supersonics

That's right, the Supersonics aren't even a team anymore and their fanbase is on this list. The city of Seattle is a remarkable sports town and they really rallied behind the Supersonics when they were in the northwest. When the city gets another NBA team, you better believe they will have some of the best fans in the league from the very beginning.

4. Detroit Lions

For as annoying as the Lions can be on the field, their fans are loyal regardless. Sure, they may wear bags over their heads so they can't be identified at games when the team is playing terribly, but who can blame them? With a legitimate defense, the Lions may finally win the NFC North.

3. New Orleans Saints

The city of New Orleans really rallies around the Saints in times of need. When they re-opened the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina and had the blocked punt for a touchdown against the rival Falcons, one of the greatest moments in sports happened. There's something special about the connection this team has with their passionate fanbase.

The Raiders have always had passionate fans, but they're usually really good. That hasn't been the case over the past decade plus. This rough stretch has proved their fans are still great, because the team still gets plenty of fans packing their stadium regardless of record.

In what other industry would there be anyone trusting in something that hasn't worked in 106 years? Well, that's essentially what's going on with the Cubs. Their fans are some of the best in sports and their team hasn't won a World Series since the Teddy Roosevelt administration. If recent developments are any indication, the hardcore fans could get their wish of a World Series title sooner rather than later.
