15 Athletes Who Aren’t So Easy On The Eyes

Not everyone is blessed with good looks, but many have the ability to help themselves out in the attractiveness department with just a little effort. Some have no control over the matter, whether it be due to unfortunate developments or accidents. Here are 15 athletes with unfortunate looks.

15. Anthony Davis

The Pelicans forward is already one of the best players in the NBA at just 21 years old. Overshadowing his bright young career is the caterpillar above his nose. As Davis continues to improve on the court and becomes more famous, it will be interesting to see if he becomes better known for his dominant play or the dominant feature on his face.

You want to see the face of a hockey player? Take a look at Alexander Ovechkin, but make it a quick look. The three-time NHL MVP has no fear of throwing his body around on the ice and sacrificing a tooth … or 20.

To put it bluntly, Noah is a pretty unattractive guy and I think he knows it and could not care less. Noah’s game is all about making it miserable for the opposition. His look is part of the misery opposing players matched up with him have to deal with. It is no wonder why players are afraid to enter the paint when Joakim is in there.

Oden has had it hard enough since entering the NBA, so I will do my best to not pile on. The injury-riddled big man is 26 now, but could pass for 40. Did I mention he looked this way when he was 20?

11. Bartolo Colon

I have to admit, Colon has got to be one of my favorite athletes. How can anyone be so overweight and out of shape for so long and still be an above-average pitcher? I mean the guy is listed at 5-foot-11, 285 pounds. and was an All-Star at the age of 40. Baseball … what a sport.

I feel a little bad writing this one because the Bayern Munich soccer star’s facial scars are the result of a car accident when he was just two years old. The injuries resulted in more than 100 stitches and three prominent scars across his face.

Ah, the ever-changing hairline of “The King.” LeBron has hung on to hope of his hair staying right where it is, but ever so slowly has his hairline receded. The cries for LeBron to shave it off once and for all grow louder as his headband grows wider and is placed higher on his forehead each season.

Apparently, Tom Brady did not send Luck the memo about how elite, face-of-the-franchise and face-of-the-NFL quarterbacks are supposed to look. Somehow, Luck has lived up to the hype placed on him when he came out of Stanford. My only guess as to why he leaves that “thing” on his neck is because he’s too busy studying defenses to have any time to shave.

When the Toronto Raptors drafted Bosh, it could not have been a better fit, and I am not just talking about on the basketball court. Bosh has been known to at times resemble a dinosaur.

6. Carlos Tevez

The first entry for best (worst?) unibrow in soccer and sports … I present to you, Carlos Tevez. The Argentinian-born forward plays for Juventus in Italy, and it's safe to say he’s probably not the footballer of choice for the Italian ladies.

Following Tevez is Portuguese defenseman José Bosingwa and his “cranial connector.”

Okay, seriously soccer, what is going on? Thankfully the last of the unibrows, Marouane Fellaini presents not only excess hair on his face, but also on top of his head. At this point, maybe he is just worried how much would he be charged for a haircut?

The New Orleans Saints quarterback's birthmark has become one of his symbols. He had surgery done to try and remove the birthmark, which resulted in a pretty lengthy scar. As a guest on her show, Oprah Winfrey mistook the scar for lipstick and attempted to wipe it off. Brees has stated he will not get additional surgery done unless doctors tell him it poses a health threat.

Sure, the beard was fun during the Giants’ World Series run in 2010, but it’s been over four years since Wilson shaved. He’s still dying it black and as the beard grows, the velocity on Wilson’s once electric fastball decreases. It’s like the opposite of the story of Samson. All the beard is doing at this point is keeping his name in conversations. Hey … wait a minute …

Before you start to feel too bad, let me tell you Shelden has been married to Candace Parker since 2008. Parker is attractive and one of the best female basketball players ever. We know for her, as it should be, it’s not all about looks.
