The argument can be made that no fan base has experienced more emotions over the last week than fans of the Philadelphia Eagles considering all of the moves Chip Kelly and company have made. Just a few days after the shocking news that LeSean McCoy would be traded to the Buffalo Bills, Eagles fans found out Sunday night that Jeremy Maclin was expected to re-unite with Andy Reid on Tuesday and sign with the Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s hard to believe at this point last year the roster of the Eagles consisted of three of the league’s most dynamic offensive weapons in McCoy, Maclin, and DeSean Jackson, but all three stars are no longer members of the team–leaving the offense with plenty of holes to fill. Of course, the main question on the mind’s of Philadelphia fans is why would Kelly get rid of these three stars, but still keep a player like Riley Cooper around?

“Kelly’s culture” has been quite the popular topic of discussion this week as it’s tough to make sense of the head coach to keep a player like Cooper around when it’s clear the organization is overpaying the wideout way too much money. While Cooper caught a career high eight touchdown passes in 2013, he’s failed to find the end zone more than three times during the other four seasons of his career.

Now that Cooper is one of the team’s “top wideouts” along with Jordan Matthews, Kelly’s “culture” in Philadelphia is being heavily criticized by a fan base looking for answers.

Since the Eagles are more likely to keep Cooper around now that Maclin is out of the picture, one Eagles fan is attempting to take matters into his own hands by launching a Go Fund Me to help raise money to support Cooper’s release. One of the main reasons why Cooper is still around is due to the fact the team would still have to pay him $6.2 million unless he is cut with the post-June 1st designation.

Obviously, the chances of this happen seem as likely as the Eagles winning the Super Bowl next season with Nick Foles or Mark Sanchez at quarterback, but we’re still dying to see how much money this page actually raises (click here to see Cooper’s Go Fund Me page).
