The cat is out of the bag: Russell Wilson is dating hip hop star Ciara. Not only were the two recently spotted together at Seattle Mariners game, but Ciara is also listed as Wilson’s date for the White House Correspondents dinner. Ciara — Born in 1985, Ciara is three years older than Wilson. There’s definitely nothing wrong with going after older women, especially since Wilson seems mature for his age. Heck, he’s played in two Super Bowls and he’s only been in the NFL for three years!

Ciara — Although she’s an Atlanta, Georgia native, Ciara was actually born in Austin, Texas. She moved around a lot as a kid as an army brat (Germany, New York, Utah, California, etc.) before settling in Atlanta.

Ciara — Because of all the moving around as a kid, Ciara said she was better prepared for a career as a celebrity since she’s constantly traveling now just as she did growing up as an army brat.

Ciara — As a teenager in Atlanta, Ciara formed the all-girl singing group Hearsay, which consisted of her and two friends. That didn’t last long, but it also didn’t stop Ciara from pursuing her dreams of hitting it big as a singer-songwriter.

Ciara — She wrote the song ‘Got Me Waiting’ for Fantasia Barrino’s debut album, ‘Free Yourself,’ and that’s what really got Ciara’s career off the ground.

Ciara — From there, Ciara recorded four demos that all ended up on her debut album, including ‘1, 2 Step,’ which became her first big hit.

Ciara — What many don’t know is that ‘1, 2 Step’ was recorded in 2002, the year before Ciara graduated from high school. It was then, in 2003, that she signed with LaFace Records and began the real work for her debut album, ‘Goodies.’

Ciara — Ciara’s debut album, ‘Goodies,’ was certified triple platinum and earned her four Grammy nominations.

Ciara — Ciara released her second album, ‘Ciara: The Evolution,’ in 2006 and generated three more hits from it: ‘Get Up,’ ‘Promise’ and ‘Like a Boy.’ This was another certified platinum album for her and it reached No. 1 in the U.S.

Ciara — The same year ‘Ciara: The Evolution’ went platinum, Ciara also debuted as an actress in the movie ‘All You’ve Got.’ She followed that up with appearances in ‘Mama, I Wan to Sing!’ and ‘That’s My Boy.’

Ciara — After appearing in three movies, Ciara earned a recurring role in the TV series ‘The Game’ in 2013.

Ciara — Continuing her evolving career as a businesswoman, Ciara became the face of the Rocawear clothing line, owned by Jay-Z, in 2007.

Ciara — In 2008, she appareled in a ‘Vibe Magazine’ spread nude, although nothing was shown. However, she claimed that she wasn’t nude in the pictures and that Vibe had “airbrushed her clothes off.”

Ciara — Also in 2008, Ciara performed with 15 other female singers during the ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ event on TV.

Ciara — Again on the feel-good front, Ciara joined the ‘Do Something 101’ campaign in 2009, which collects school supplies for children in need at the start of each school year.

Ciara — After the Vibe scandal, she tried magazine spreads again in 2009 after signing a mega deal with Wilhelmina Models. She appeared in Maxim the following year.

Ciara — Even further branching out in 2009, Ciara did a celebrity endorsement for Verizon’s LG Chocolate Touch smartphone, which included a TV commercial of her dancing to her song, ‘Work.’

Ciara — Ciara is no stranger to relationships with other celebrities or athletes; she’s dated Boy Wow, 50 Cent, Future and Amar’e Stoudemire. She even has a son with Future and was engaged to him at one point.

Ciara — Even more successful than her new boyfriend, Ciara has sold over 23 million albums worldwide.

Ciara — Her full name is Ciara Princess Harris. With that middle name it’s no wonder she went into show business. As you probably know, she’s commonly known as just Ciara.
