Say hello to Jessica Mendoza, a former Olympic medalist and current ESPN baseball analyst. Although she’s relatively new to the biggest stage of sports broadcasting (ESPN), she’s quickly made a name for himself — and made history. In June of 2015, she became the first female in the booth of ESPN’s College World Series coverage. Then, on October 6 of 2015, she became the first female to call an MLB postseason game.
This appears to be just the beginning for Mendoza, whose time in the booth has received rave reviews. Get to know her now before you’re behind the curve.
