If you love a good conspiracy theory, this one is for you…
The internet is freaking out about the man in the picture below, who allegedly traveled back in time to Mike Tyson‘s 1995 boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against Peter McNeeley.
Cell phones with the ability to take photos and capture video didn’t come out until 2000, which is why this theory is gaining steam.
“What we have here is a time traveler coming back to watch their favorite fighter and sitting in the front row seats,” Scott Waring of UFO Sightings Daily wrote on his blog. “Back in 1995 they did have phones, but they didn’t yet have cameras on them. Why wouldn’t a time traveler want to see Mike Tyson fight?”
However, as mentioned in the video, the device the man is holding also resembles a number of handheld camcorders that were readily available in 1995.
Like every other time a story as such goes viral, those who want to believe will insist he is indeed a time traveler.
And those who don’t, won’t…
