Maryland Men's Lacrosse Team Wins NCAA Title on Long Distance Empty-Netter

By Anthony Blake

For the layman, the idea of wailing a shot with a lacrosse stick that doesn’t go sailing into oblivion or straight into the ground is daunting.

That’s what makes this shot from Tim Rotanz of the Maryland men’s lacrosse program all the more incredible from nearly 50 yards away.

He made that look so easy!

The Terrapins went on to secure their first title since 1975 by a score of 9-6 in the final at Gillette Stadium.

Congrats, guys!
