The crown for the king of grass had been shared for a few years, but now the rightful owner has taken his place at the throne with Roger Federer‘s latest Wimbledon triumph.
And Federer’s eighth Wimbledon win came in dominant fashion, as he joined Bjorn Borg as the only man to ever win the title without dropping a set.
The GOAT of tennis accomplished that same feat at the beginning of 2017 as well at the Australian Open, starting his renaissance season that has seen him not even drop a set in the two majors he’s entered.
And with Federer poised to turn 36 years of age on August 8, the entire scenario seems too far-fetched to even comprehend after he claimed his 19th grand slam title.
He really is aging in reverse during this magical season.
