WSOP Main Event Final Table Sees Damian Salas Get Brutal Bad Beat on the River

By Anthony Blake

The faces change every year, but the bad beats at the World Series of Poker are always a spectacle to behold.

At the final table of the Texas hold ’em main event, this brutal river card sent 86 percent favorite Damian Salas home as Dan Ott caught a straight.

The heartache was real for Salas after being booted from the WSOP final table on a river card that dealt him $1,425,000 instead of a shot at the cool $8,150,000 first place prize.

Nevertheless, nearly $1.5 million can ease the pain quite nicely, don’t you think?
