CFL Passes on Johnny Manziel After Working Out for Hamilton Tiger-Cats

By Anthony Blake

As a former Heisman Trophy winner who once seemingly had the world at his fingertips, Johnny Manziel has suffered a precipitous fall since being selected in the first round by the Cleveland Browns back in 2014.

And his list of disappointment keeps growing as the worst team in the CFL, the 0-8 Hamilton Tiger-Cats, recently worked out the QB but passed on signing him.

It’s almost like Hamilton is the Oakland Raiders of the CFL, going after cast-off players and coaches like Art Briles just because they carry some cache with their names.

As for Manziel, it may be time to consider a new career choice.
