High school football is a staple of most towns in the U.S. and has produced great excitement in many cases. These 15 records in high school football excited and will likely never be broken.
Many people will tell you that ‘bullying’ is rampant these days. But it’s also 2013, so the term has a fairly wide range. Nearly anything in the ‘picking on’ department can get slapped with the ‘bullying’ label. That’s most certainly the case for Tim Buchanan and his Aledo High School football team. Buchanan, the head coach, has been accused of bullying after his team laid the smackdown on Fort Worth Western Hills, 91-0.
This is not a joke. A parent of a player on the Western Hills team filed a formal report against Buchanan.
Here’s what the head coach had to say about the situation:
“I’m upset about it. I don’t like it. I sit there the whole third and fourth quarter and try to think how I can keep us from scoring… I have to address it. It’s not something you can laugh off or anything like that. What they said was that I should’ve told my players to ease up and not play so hard.”
Buchanan is not kidding. His teams regularly put up points likes this and he does try to keep his players from the end zone in the second half. Luckily, the school is said have his back, so this story should end in the near future.
But the reality is that there’s an actual real person who filed this complaint. Sorry, concerned sir or madam, but isn’t it possible that your son’s football team just sucks? He was not the victim of bullying, he was the victim of getting his tail whipped on the gridiron. It happens.
