Rant’s Fantasy Basketball King: Week 2 Waiver Wire Pick-Ups
Cary Edmondson-US PRESSWIRE

Every Wednesday, Sachin will post his weekly fantasy  basketball advice

Welcome to the first edition of Rant’s Fantasy Basketball King. Every week won’t necessarily be the same thing, but this week we are going to take a look at some waiver wire pick-ups that can potentially make or break your season. Let’s get started:

Gerald Henderson, G, Charlotte Bobcats

This guy has been one of the most added players, so don’t be surprised if he’s already gone. Henderson has been the best player for the Bobcats this year, and with the Bobcats lack of talent, don’t expect that to change. Pick him up and start him.

Marreese Speights, F, Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis has just lost Zach Randolph for at least 8 weeks, and Speights will likely start. He was just recently acquired by the Grizzlies after Randolph was injured, so it is very likely that the Grizz start him.

Evan Turner, G, Philadelphia 76ers

Turner has shown flashes of brilliance, and it’s just a matter of time before he explodes. Grab him before everyone else does.

MarShon Brooks, G, New Jersey Nets

Brooks has been a nice option for a Nets team that has lacked scoring options. Deron Williams likes the guy, and he should keep putting up stats. It’s only a matter of time before he gets put into the starting line up and his value rockets, so…

Tristan Thompson, F, Cleveland Cavaliers

Thompson is finding his rhythm, and don’t be surprised if he eventually pushes Antawn Jamison over to the SF position. Thompson will certainly keep getting more minutes as the Cavs are more interested in developing their core for the future than winning.

That’s it for Rant’s Fantasy Basketball God. If you have any fantasy questions, leave them in the comment section and they will be answered next week.
