Check that: The Lakers will send the Rockets its 2012 first-round pick (via Dallas) as part of the deal.

I would call this the most shocking move of the day.  The Los Angeles Lakers have traded longtime point guard Derek Fisher and a first round drat pick to the Houston Rockets for Jordan Hill.

Fisher became expendable when the Lakers acquired Ramon Sessions.  The Rockets were in desperate need of a point guard with Kyle Lowry sidelined and the earlier trade of Jonny Flynn.

More moves may leak out as the deadline has passed.  Trades had to be submitted by 3 PM Eastern.  It’s been a slow, yet surprising deadline.

Keep checking back as more deals are released.  We will keep you updated on them.
