Phoenix Suns Making Push For Playoffs

Steve Nash has been one of the few players lately who, in a terrible situation, did not demand a trade and has remained loyal to his team, even as they continue to struggle. Perhaps Steve Nash will be rewarded, not with a title, but at least with another playoff appearance.

The Phoenix Suns have continued their march towards the playoffs with a blowout victory over the New Orleans Hornets tonight. Jared Dudley led the Suns with 21 points and 7 rebounds, posting an impressive +25 in his 36 minutes of play. Nash continued his incredible dish rate, as he handed out 14 dimes, but scored just four points.

After the victory tonight, Phoenix sits just a game and a half out of the playoffs. Phoenix is in great position, especially with Houston, Memphis, and Denver all struggling as of late while the Suns are starting to figure it out.

Nash is expected to leave at the end of the season, but he continues to play like he wants to stay in Phoenix, giving it everything he has. He has also teamed up with Dudley and Channing Frye to form an underrated trio out in the dessert.

Frye has been pretty up and down this season, but he still improving in his sixth season in the league. Shannon Brown has also been playing well for the Suns, and he just may make the difference between watching the playoffs and actually competing in the playoffs.

The Suns still have a lot of work to do, but a playoff spot is not out of their grasp. They just need to continue putting all the pieces together.
