Part III: Milwaukee Bucks games to highlight in 2012-’13
Mark J. Rebllas- US PRESSWIRE

I’d like to welcome everyone back for Part III of Milwaukee Bucks games to be excited for in 2012-’13. Part’s I and II (if you haven’t already checked out Parts I and II, get on it, STAT!) covered the first eight games to circle on the schedule and the next two parts will accentuate eight more games to clear your schedule for.

As the calender flips to 2013 the Bucks should be in a position where they will be playing meaningful games the rest of the way. Let’s get on with it. Here are games 9-12 to be excited about in 2012-’13 Bucks nation.

9. Tuesday, January 15th @ Los Angeles Lakers

Playing at the Staples Center in front of a throng of celebrities always adds a bit of spice to Laker games. It’s an early week game in the middle of the winter, so this game presents a little bit of a boost to your mundane early week blues. The small pleasures in life is what it’s all about!

The Lakers are expected to be championship contenders this year, so this should provide a good litmus test for the Bucks at this point in the season. Los Angeles has an elite starting 5, but a suspect bench.

The Lakers have new comer Steve Nash to run the show and take some of the burden off of Kobe BryantHow these two mesh will make or break LA’s season.

There’s also the possibility of a Metta World Peace meltdown, which, let’s be honest, is always fun to watch!
Meanwhile, Lakers center Andrew Bynum is on the verge of becoming the next ‘big thing’ at center if he already hasn’t cemented that distinction.

Or….. your guess is as good as mine, but Dwight Howard may be donning the purple and gold by then….. stay tuned!

10. Saturday, January 26th v. Golden State

The NBA sure did the Bucks a favor scheduling a more than normal amount of Saturday night home games for the Bucks in ’12-’13 it seems.

Golden State has sleeper potential this season. Stephen Curry is always a treat to watch. David Lee is a guy you can’t help but root for. Richard Jefferson comes off the bench and was a Milwaukee favorite the year he spent here. The Warriors also bring to town a sure- fire rookie-of-the-year candidate in Harrison Barnes and slick shooting Klay Thompson.

Oh yeah, that Andrew Bogut guy returns to the BMO Harris Bradley Center to what is sure to be a warm reception. That is, if he is healthy, which is always a big if for Bogut.

11. Friday, February 1st v. New York

The mega-market Knicks make their first appearance in ‘Brew-town’ on the first day of February. Carmelo is worth the draw alone and this game figures to be a great, down-to-the wire Friday night clash. If you ask me, taking in Bucks-Knicks is a perfect start to the weekend.

12. Wednesday, February 2oth v. Brooklyn

The hype machine that’s the new look Brooklyn Nets arrive in town for the first time. The Nets were discussed in Part II, so I won’t bore you with re-hashing their roster.

This game could have some significance and mark an important battle in jockeying for playoff-positioning in the Eastern Conference. Plus, who wouldn’t want to see Jay-Z and Beyonce courtside if they decide to make the trip to Milwaukee?!?

With games 9-12 in the book, look for the fourth and final installment of Milwaukee Bucks games to look forward to in 2012-’13 very soon.
