NBA Rumors: Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets in Blockbuster Trade Talks
Howard Smith- US PRESSWIRE

The NBA rumors swirling around Dwight Howard had been quiet as of late, but Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bombshell on fans Thursday as he mentioned a huge blockbuster trade. The trade would involve four teams: Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington going to the Lakers, Philadelphia guard Andre Iguodala going to the Nuggets, Los Angeles center Andrew Bynum moving to the 76ers, and Los Angeles forward Pau Gasol and Denver guard Arron Affalo going to the Magic, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

In this trade scenario, Denver would unload Al Harrington to Los Angeles and Arron Afflalo to Orlando, in return they receive All-Star Andre Iguodala. It would be likely that he would start at shooting guard along the sides of Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari at SF, Kenneth Faried at PF and JaVale McGee at center.

Starting with Al Harrington, who just admitted to media he will not be ready for training camp, and possibly not for the regular season, Denver would lose a lockerroom guy in Harrington, but he’s injury prone.  Also, Arron Afflalo, didn’t have the best season last year and yes Afflalo has the perfect work-ethic and awesome defense, but they would be getting a versatile player in Iggy, who may not score as many points as Afflalo, but is an elite perimeter defender, athletic, double the assists, and rebounds that Arron puts out.

Here is the side-by-side comparisons of Affalo and Iguodala for last year: Arron Afflalo accumulated 15.2 points, 3.2  rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while Andre Iguodala contributed 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.

It would come down to if Denver wanted scoring more than rebounds and assists or vice versa.

With that being said, this is a 4-team trade and the likelihood that the trade doesn’t fall apart at the seams isn’t very likely.
