Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens is looking for work. It just so happens the Tennessee Titans are hiring. Tennessee lost star receiver Kenny Britt for the season with a torn ACL and are now looking to add Owens, who is recovering from the same injury. Owens has already declared himself ready to join an NFL team at the season’s midway point.

Two years after being cut by the Cowboys, Owens has missed the first six weeks of the 2011 season recovering from surgery that repaired his torn ACL. On Tuesday, Titans head coach Mike Munchak said the Titans will most likely bring in the troubled ex-Cowboy for evaluation.

“He might be a guy that may be able to work out to prove where he’s at,” Munchak said. “So of course us, or whoever else, is going to take a look, just like we have with other free agents, to see what kind of shape he’s in. If he has a way of helping our team win, then for sure you’re going to take a look at him.”

Dallas does not play Tennessee this season, so the Cowboys would not have to play against Owens unless the two teams met in the Super Bowl. We’ll go out on a limb and say that won’t happen. Regardless, Owens could be catching passes from Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck soon.
