2012 NFL Mock Draft: 10 Players Dallas Cowboys Should Consider in 1st Round

The Dallas Cowboys’ disappointing season is finally over so the team’s attention is now turned to the 2012 NFL Draft. Dallas is in desperate need of new cornerbacks and defensive ends and there a few good prospects at each position.
Many 2012 NFL mock drafts have the Cowboys taking Clemson defensive end Andre Branch with the No. 14 overall pick and that wouldn’t be a bad choice. Branch is not the only good defensive end available in the first round and the Cowboys know that.
Dallas also has some nice options available at cornerback, although the top two prospects are likely to be taken within the first 10 picks. However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is going to have to make some bold moves this offseason, so why not start by trading up to take one?
There are a couple of good prospects at other positions the Cowboys could use as well and you might be surprised to see who else is on the list.
Here are 10 players the Cowboys should consider in this 2012 NFL mock draft analysis:

The second you said Abe elam was the better safety you lost all credability, and makes me wonder if you’ve watched any games other than the last one.
have you watched any football?
Here are the order of priority the boys should give to these prospects:
1.Morris Claiborne
2.Dre’ Kirkpatrick
3.Courtney Upshaw
4.Mark Barron
5.David DeCastro
I hope it’s either Dre or Claiborne I;m just not sure what would they have to give ti trade here but it’s the best whing they can do, yeah the offensive line isn’t elite but you could pick up somoene in free agency or later in the draft and for a pass rusher I believe the 2nd round presents some interesting options as well.
I think the biggest holes are db and center. The best stradegy in my opinion though would be to take Poe for the dline in the 1st rd and put ratliff at end. A 300 pound ratliff is not cutting it in a 3-4 d on early downs. Then i’d trade up in the second for a falling Janorus Jenkins. Or hope he falls in the second. Then go center with brewster or ben jones, and in the fourth go safety with Harrison smith or Aaron Henry. fifth either olb or guards, and sixth a fb (Gentry). 7th whatever sleeper is left.
