Denver Broncos

Skip Bayless said that Tim Tebow can lead the Broncos to the playoffs, this season. As I watched ESPN’s First Take, I figured that Skip would be on board with Tebow – he always is – but I didn’t quite expect him to take it that far.

Now, far be it from me to say that Tim Tebow “can’t” or the Denver Broncos “can’t”. . But in the words of Jim Mora, “PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS? WE’RE TALKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS?”

The Broncos are currently 1 game out of first place in the AFC West. That’s partially due to the fact that Tim Tebow is 2-1 as a starter and partially because the rest of the division is, for lack of a better word, bad. But do we really think that the Denver Broncos are playoff worthy? Just last week, there were a vast majority of people wondering if Tebow could play the position, at all.  Even on Sunday morning, people on twitter were discussing possible scenarios that would put Brady Quinn into the mix.

It’s Monday and everything is different. According to Mr. Bayless, we have playoff aspirations. Personally, I think that 6 wins would be a successful record for this team. I’m all about optimism and aspirations, but I’m more interested in facts and reality, as well. I don’t believe that we’ll make the playoffs in 2011, but I’d be happy to eat crow. So, what do you think, Broncos fans?

Can they? Sure, they “can”… but “will they”? Will the Denver Broncos make the playoffs? Explain your answer in the comment section.
