Everyone wants to weigh in on the Tim Tebow experience.  Last week, Charles Barkley said he was sick of him and now on Monday, Rick Pitino believes that Tebow is getting help from a higher power.

I’m not sure if those quotes were made in jest or if Pitino is actually serious.  I’m not sure about Pitino’s religious beliefs, so that may play a role in this.  He could be fully behind Tebow or he could be dismissing him with these comments, but I’m not sure.

I addressed this earlier.  I don’t think Tebow being a Christian has anything to do with his success.  He gives off an aura of leadership, which is half the battle of being an NFL quarterback.  His team believes in him and that’s all that matters right now.

To put it simply Im sure if there was a god he would care about a football instead of feed starving kids in Africa.
P.S why would Jesus just help him actually play great all the time so his future is more secure?

    • HERR LANGER says:

Corey – Thank you. A voice of reason.

The God who created the universe is concerned about a human playing a violent sport such as football which changes the condition of humanity about as much as exhaling does.

He simultaneously completely ignores more serious issues on the planet (poverty, starvation, ethnic cleansing, disease etc.). The ignorance of many people on these blogs is beyond me.

  2. GodhatesNike says:

If God wanted Tim Tebow to win every game… Tim would win every game. If God wanted Tim to play good for 4 quarters… God could have Tim play good for 4 quarters.

God wants a certain popular Christian QB to HONOR HIM and stop honoring the name of the pagan goddess NIKE… the pagan goddess still worshipped today in Paganism… but a certain popular Christian QB won’t stop because he has free will.

So do you really think God wants that QB to win every game so NIKE (the company that QB promotes) can sell more products?

    NO WAY!

If Tebowing means bowing to the Most High God wearing a pair of shoes named in honor of the pagan goddess Nike… I and other Christians want nothing to do with it!

We bow to honor the Most High God without honoring other pagan gods or goddesses!
