There are a lot of people out there that are saying Tim Tebow is not very good, he is awful, lucky, he won’t make it as a quarterback in the NFL,  and that the defense and special teams should get all the credit for the turnaround that the Denver Broncos have made since starting the season 1-4 under QB Kyle Orton. I understand that Tim Tebow may be over hyped, he may get a lot of attention because of his faith, and that the Denver Broncos are playing great defense/special teams, and you may be tired of hearing about a guy who is not in the top half of the league in passing stats, but now I want to take a look at how all these aspects coming together with the play of Tebow is the reason the Broncos have since went 7-2 and now are 8-6.

The Broncos have been very bad for the last few years. Kyle Orton put up good passing stats (3,600 yards, 21 tds, 9 int, 86.0 passer rating) and that did not translate into victories. Tebow has been very conservative, protects the ball, and has found ways to put the Broncos in situations to win games. That is usually all you ask from guys that are just starting their careers.

One thing is for sure…If god is picking sides I sure hope he is on my side! Lets not bash Tebow for his faith. That is the most important thing in life. Lets just talk about the football part. Ok Yes I agree the defense has been very good, yes special teams have been great, yes Tebow has not looked prolific as a passer in his 2nd NFL season and only 11th game to start, and yes the Broncos haven’t beat any playoff teams.

What Tebow is doing  with the help of the defense/special teams, he is controlling the clock, moving the chains, putting the team in field goal range, and when needed most comes up with a big drive that wins the game. These kinds of things motivate the whole team, coaching staff, and also helps the defense stay fresh and play hard, knowing that if they get the ball back they have a QB that is going to give it all hes got and in most cases give them a shot at winning

I do not know what every one expects from Tebow, but if you look at most rookies they struggle early, takes a year or two to figure the system out, and their passing is inconsistent. Tebow falls under that category, but what Tebow does that has never been seen before… is he runs well and has the build that can handle running the ball often, he is a Quarterback that can run like a running fullback, take the punishment of the hits like a running back does, and he also has the ability to develop into an above averge to great passer in the NFL. You give him a full offseason with his QB coach and John Elway and I think next year you will see things that has never been seen in the NFL before.

Next year could be a season clicking on all cylinders that the NFL has never seen before and opposing defense will struggle to learn to defend. It’s like Peyton Hillis playing QB and being real good at passing as well. The Broncos coaching staff will be able to get real creative and at the same time be conventional also. I cant wait to see what the Denver Broncos look like next year! Im excited. I think Tebow is great for the Broncos and I think he will become the face of the franchise for years to come! It’s going to be fun to watch.

3 Rants to “Tim Tebow: Lucky or Good in Leading Denver Broncos...”

  1. Lawrence McKenzie says:

Tebow isnt leading denver to anything the defense is getting the turnovers the kicker is kicking long field goasls and when the denver defense doesnt play well they lose big like yhey did when they lost to lions & Patriots

  2. Charles Hubbard says:

Jesus would never promote or wear anything honoring the name of the pagan goddess NIKE.

God had me share this with Tim Tebow… but from what I can tell… he decided he could profit by honoring both the Name of God and the name of the pagan goddess NIKE.

So we get to see who is right… God or Tim Tebow.

I’ll go with God on this one.
