Right before the 2012 NFL Playoffs Pete Prisco released his most recent power rankings of the 32 NFL teams. He ranks the Broncos at #12 the worst ranking of any 2012 playoff team and he ranks the Steelers at #6. Then he makes a comment out beside the Broncos ranking…

“Still think Tim Tebow is the long-term answer? Didn’t think so. Denver has to find a quarterback — playoffs or not.”
Then he goes on to add that he predicts a 31-13 win for the Steelers (I had exact prediction is my last article; this is a coincidence) and and added a few more unflattering comments…
This is a bad match-up for the Broncos. They are the league’s top-ranked rushing team and they are playing a defense that was eighth in rushing defense. But the real mismatch comes with the Denver passing game against Pittsburgh’s pass defense. Tim Tebow has really struggled to throw the football and the Steelers are first in pass yards per game allowed. They will get after him with James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley. Tebow has to take a few shots down the field if the Broncos are to have a chance. The Steelers have a huge edge with Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. He is still bothered by an ankle injury, but even a gimpy Roethlisberger gives the Steelers an edge. The difference in this Steelers team from those of the past is that it’s a pass-first team. With top runner Rashard Mendenhall out with a knee injury, that will be the case even more. The Broncos’ defense was 21st in passing yards per play. Pittsburgh was ninth in yards per pass play on offense. That means Roethlisberger will have chances down the field. I see him hitting several of them. Tebow can’t keep up. Not the way he passes the ball. This is going to be ugly.
Pete Prisco says the defense of the Steelers should be able to take advantage of the offensively challenged Broncos — who need to find a quarterback — playoffs or not. He also says the big mismatch for the Broncos comes with their passing offense that will be going up against a Steelers pass defense which is first in pass yards per game allowed.

I am a Broncos fan, but to a degree I do agree with Prisco’s comments. The Pittsburgh Steelers look to be a tough match-up for the Denver Broncos. I hate to say this, but I think the Broncos’ Super Bowl run and the Tebow magic will end sooner than later.

    This the Pete Prisco that said Chris leak had no chance against OHIO STATE IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP….wHAT AN A-HOLE HE IS TOTALING AGAINST FLORIDA FOOTBALL GO OUT WEST AND TALK WHERE YOUR HEART IS….CAN WAIT TO HIM MAKE EXCUSES FOR THE STEALERS TOMORROW….TEBOW WILL BE A GOOD QB IN THE NFL

      I am a Denver Broncos fan and I have been for my whole life. I just had my opinion and it was wrong. I am glad it was wrong ha!
