Tebowmania is spiraling out of control.
Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been selected as America’s favorite active pro athlete. The poll, which was conducted in December, resulted in three percent of those surveyed selecting Tebow as their favorite athlete.
He beat out Kobe Bryant, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady in the voting.
“To put this in perspective, Tim Tebow rose to the top before the end of his second pro season. It took Tiger Woods three years, LeBron James eight years and Kobe Bryant 11 years,” Rich Luker, founder and director of the ESPN Sports Poll, said. “I think we may be at the front end of a new era in sports stars.”
Tebow became the 11th different athlete to capture the number one award in the monthly polling. The award has been in existence for 18 years.

I don’t get it… There are so many other NFL players who are better players. He has no proven track-record, he hasn’t proven himself to any extent, and yet he is “the chosen one”. I just don’t get it.
