2012 NFL Playoffs : Can Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow Pull Off Another Miracle vs New England?
Foxboro, Massachusetts – With the Denver Broncos set to play the New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional Round Saturday evening, one player who will be intensely watched is Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
Tebow, who would throw an 80-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeMaryius Thomas to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 29-23 in overtime in last week’s AFC Wild Card game, added to his already growing legend as a winner and cultural phenomenon.
Known for his outward profession and devoutness to Christianity, Tebow may be the most polarizing and intriguing figure in sports since late Oakland Raiders Hall-Of-Fame owner, Al Davis.
Tebow may not be an outlaw or a renegade that lives on the proverbial edge, but like Davis he elicits the same type of feeling—you either love him or you hate him.
Make no mistake, while I’m not putting Tim Tebow in the same category—or class as Al Davis—but when was the last time that one SINGLE player has taken the NFL—and our social media culture—by storm the same way that Tebow has?
I’m no Skip Bayless from ESPN’s First Take and wildly profess my outward love for Tebow, but one cannot deny the fact that Tebow—who has started the popular phenomenon known as “Tebowing” which as already entered our everyday venicular, helped set a Nielsen ratings record for a AFC Wild Card game and single-handedly caused over 9,000 tweets per second on Twitter, Tebow is not just a winner on the field—but off it as well.
During my time at National Football Authority, I wrote a piece accurately predicting that Tebow would surpass Kyle Orton as starting quarterback.
I would also write why Brady Quinn deserved a shot at the starting quarterback spot due to Tebow’s in accuracy for Gridiron Grit and at length on this site why Bronco fans chanting for Tebow during the Broncos loss to Oakland was classless and why Tebow may be the right choice for the Broncos going forward.
Bottom line is that I am not a Denver Broncos fan, Florida Gators alum, SEC honk or a self-proclaimed “Tebowmaniac”—or a hater—just a professional blogger who has finally come around to the fact that Tebow has proven many—including myself—wrong.
This column is not my form of a mea culpa—just the simple acknowledgement of the fact that Tebow is a special and unique brand of athlete. Fact
In terms of the actual game against the New England Patriots in Foxboro, Tebow has a chance due to New England’s 32nd ranked defense and with the threat of Tebow running, New England must honor Tebow’s ability to throw.
Denver’s running game will help determine the outcome between the Patriots and Broncos, while Tebow may or may not throw for another 300 yards like he did against the Steelers so-called top-ranked defense, Tebow’s ability to extend plays with his feet and make timely throws gives Denver more than a fair shot in Foxboro.
Just be sure to give hold my seat on the #SkipTebowBandwagon indefinitely.

GOD WANTS TO TEACH TIM TEBOW A LESSON FROM BOTH PLAYOFF GAMES
Playoff Game 1: 316 passing on 10 Completions
John 3:16 (The verse relates to Jesus Christ… He was strengthening Tebow)
10 Completions: 10 Commandments
That game showed the benefits of serving Christ and upholding the 10 Commandments
Playoff Game 2: 136 Passing on 9 Completions
John 1:36… When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God.”
Jesus did not stop to help Tim Tebow against the Patriots.
9 Completions: 9 Commandments out of 10 Commandments
The 1 Commandment that Tebow missed was Commandment 1…
“You shall have no other gods before Me. – Exodus 20:3
Tim Tebow honors NIKE… the pagan goddess of victory.
God hates it and wants Tim Tebow to stop!
You can’t serve God and honor the pagan goddess NIKE expecting to be blessed!
I asked God if I could post all of that and God led me to go to His Word, open it up without looking… and place my pen down without looking. My pen was touching 3 words… 2 words on the line above… 1 word on the line below… the 3 words are “God that teaches”.
