Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young is looking to improve on his 2011 rookie season. With all the attention All-Pro Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson gets from opponents. There is no reason Titus Young receiving numbers cannot sky rocket in 2012.

His rookie statistics from the 2011 season are a solid foundation for Titus Young to build on. He played in all the Detroit Lions regular season games. He caught 48 receptions for 607 yards, and scored 6 touchdowns.

Titus Young if he can continue to show progress and continues to get better at the wide receiver position. He can easily become the number two receiver on the Detroit Lions in the near future. Titus Young has youth on his side and can be a very talented wide receiver in the NFL.

Going into the 2012 season the Detroit Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz will expect Titus Young to make the necessary improvements, and learn from his other receivers how to improve on his rookie season. Titus young is a luxury the Detroit Lions need on their offense. If Titus Young can be become a solid wide receiver, then if Calvin Johnson gets injured or misses any time. Titus Young, Nate Burleson and Brandon Pettigrew will be expected to help make sure the Detroit Lions offense does not miss a beat.

Titus Young average 12.6 yards per reception in 2011, which means he got the Detroit Lions first downs whenever they needed it. The sky is the limit for the Detroit Lions offense going into the 2012 season. Matthew Stafford has Calvin Johnson and Titus Young that he can get the football too at anytime. The Detroit Lions have other fine receivers and tight ends that can be counted on to be at the right place at the right time for Matthew Stafford.

The Detroit Lions are hoping a healthy Jahvid Best can return, and be the running back the Detroit Lions drafted him to be. If he can the Detroit Lions will have a great offense, if not the best offense in the NFL. The Detroit Lions will be considered one of the Elite teams in the NFL with the goal of winning the Super Bowl, bringing the Vince Lombardi trophy home to Detroit in the very near future.
