Injury Report: Jimmy Graham Fantasy Replacements
New Orleans Saints star tight end Jimmy Graham is out for Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There was a reason Jimmy Graham was drafted in the second round by fantasy owners: he is an integral part of the Saints passing attack, and will be sorely missed.
This automatically catapults Drew Brees’ trusty wide receivers, Marques Colston and Lance Moore’s, fantasy value this week. Also look for Darren Sproles to be catching more balls out of the backfield as Brees’ safety valve.
The bigger question at hand for fantasy owners is who to plug and play into their empty tight end slot. As Graham owners most likely weren’t carrying two tight ends on their roster, who can be picked off the waiver wire for immediate production?
Heath Miller is still floating on waiver wires and has been a consistent target for Ben Roethlisberger this year. Miller has caught four touchdown passes this year and is facing a vulnerable Cincinnati Bengals secondary.
Jermaine Gresham will be on the opposite sideline of Miller this week. Gresham has tallied 60 yards receiving in his last 3 of 4 games. The chemistry between Grasham and young quarterback Andy Dalton is improving each week. Gresham is a solid play this week.
Scott Chandler will be facing the team who has given up the most fantasy points to tight ends this week, the Tennessee Titans. Chandler has scored 4 times this year, and is a big target for Ryan Fitzpatrick in the end zone.
These are three solid plug and plays that can be found on most waiver wires for the injured Jimmy Graham this week. Keep an eye on Graham’s injured ankle because you may need to rely on these tight ends more than just one week.
