Fantasy Football: Will Percy Harvin Ever Return?

As Week 13 of the National Football League season arrives, so does the final week of the regular season for fantasy football players and one of the biggest names in the game will once again be out this week in the Minnesota Vikings’ Percy Harvin. Harvin will miss his third straight game with a sprained ankle. Harvin even had a bye week to have the injury heal but it appears that he still is not ready to go and will miss the Vikings’ game against the Green Bay Packers this week.

As a fantasy owner who has Harvin on his team, I truly fear that I will have to go into the playoffs without one of my dynamic players being available for me to use. If you play in a PPR league, you know the feeling because Harvin catches a lot of passes off bubble screens from Christian Ponder and it limits the Vikings to just Adrian Peterson to provide their offense. It’s going to be a long week for those Harvin owners who need him for the final week of the regular season as well with options not likely to be out there.

If you are getting desperate, take a chance on either Justin Blackmon or Cecil Shorts from the Jacksonville Jaguars. It seems like ever since Chad Henne took off the offense for Jacksonville, the passing game has opened up in a big way. If you can pick up either one of those players, you should do so as soon as possible and hope Harvin is ready to go again next week.
