Fantasy football Week 13 is in full swing with half the league playing the early games. There have been some nice fantasy performances by various players across the NFL, but none have been more impressive than Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson.

In what can be argued as Peterson’s best season in his career, it’s quite impressive when you think about the ACL injury he suffered at the end of last season. AP has not missed a beat despite an injury that usually takes time to recover from.

Earlier today, Peterson ran WILD against the Green Bay Packers, rushing 21 times for 210 yards and an amazing 82-yard scamper for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter. That 82-yard touchdown was also Peterson’s longest touchdown of his career. His previous career long was 80 yards. AP also added one reception for 10 yards as well, for those clawing for a playoff spot and needing each and every point possible.

Peterson leads all running backs in terms of fantasy production, with 28 standard fantasy points. Only Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton outscored Peterson today with 29.08 standard fantasy points. No one ever sits Adrian Peterson, and with all due respect, if you did sit him, go find a new hobby.

Vikings QB Christian Ponder struggled in this game, only completing 12 passes on 25 attempts, good for 119 yards and two interceptions. Can you imagine if there was an actual threat in the passing game? Peterson might have run for 300+ if that was the case, but being the unreal athlete that he is, he still managed to deliver a stud performance for his owners.

The Packers won the game 23-14, and the Vikings failed to record a single point in the second half of this game. The Vikings may have been on the losing end of this one, but Peterson owners have to be smiling ear to ear at the moment.
